Rachael’s Memorial Run

Event Overview

This event is being organized in memory of our daughter Rachael Johnson, who bravely battled AML, a form of aggressive Leukemia, and left behind a legacy of compassion and advocacy. The run will be held on November 30, 2025, with the purpose of raising awareness for Speech Pathology and supporting Auburn Youth and Family Services.

Rachael was a kind-hearted soul with a deep love for children of all ages. From a young age, she was driven by a passion for helping others. Compassionate and selfless, Rachael dedicated her life to making a difference in the world. Witnessing the challenges faced by children with developmental disabilities, she chose to devote herself to that field, bringing care, understanding, and hope to those who needed it most.

We aim to honor Rachael's memory by supporting these causes that were close to her heart.

Race Registration

• Event: 5K Run/Walk (12:00 PM Start)
• Registration Fees:
  • September 1st - October 13th: $30.00
  • October 14th - November 28th: $35.00
  • Race Day, November 30th: $40.00
• Note: Please note, all entry fees are non-refundable.

BIB AND SHIRT PICKUP

Early bib and shirt pick-up will be held on Saturday, November 29th from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Sneakerama located at 12 Lake Ave. in Worcester, MA 01604. Come pick up your bib and t-shirt early and receive a 10% coupon for anyone who purchases sneakers on this day.

FOR ANYONE WHO ORDERED T-SHIRTS DURING SIGN-UP LAST YEAR CAN PICK UP YOUR T-SHIRT AT THIS YEAR'S EVENT.

RACE COURSE

The start of the race will take place in the Auburn Elks parking lot. Runners and walkers will head left out of the Elks lot onto Route 12. From there, participants will turn left onto Warren Ave, then on to Bryn Mawr. Runners and walkers will turn around just past Leicester St. then head back to Bryn Mawr, Warren Ave, right onto Rt 12, back into the Auburn Elks parking lot for a total of 3.1 miles.

RACE DAY

• Same Day Registration: Same day registration will be held at the ELKS Club in Auburn from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
• Walkers: WALKERS WILL begin 15 minutes ahead of the runners to help maintain a smooth flow and avoid any delays.
• Start Time: Runners are scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM.
• Pick Up: This is also where you will pick up your bib number and t-shirts the morning of the event if you cannot join us for early bib pickup on Saturday at Sneakerama. Please arrive early to provide enough time to get ready before the race starts!

Race Shirts

Race shirts will be available to the first 200 registrants. Sizes and t-shirts will be on a first come, first serve basis.

PARKING

Parking is available at the Elks and additional lots nearby.

Awards

Awards will be presented to the top three winners in both Male and Female categories.

Additional Information

THERE WILL BE RAFFLES AND 50/50 raffles, so BRING PLENTY OF CASH.
