🏃‍♀️ 4th Annual Run the Runway

4th Annual Run the Runway presented by CONOCOPHILLIPS is happening August 23, 2025!!!

ConocoPhillips presents Run the Runways 5k and 1 mile in partnership with the City of Midland to kick off the 4th annual Fly into Fall event at the Midland Airpark. We will continue to include our only TIMED 5k event on the fastest runway in town.

🎉 Fly into Fall Event

Fly into Fall is a family-oriented event that hopes to bring interest and awareness to the Midland Airpark operations with a long-term vision of inspiring future pilots, mechanics and other aviation personnel to enter this lucrative field. This event will have various aircraft and classic car displays, airport fire truck demonstration, discovery flights, pre-flight simulation, Meet a Hero, face painting, food trucks, coffee, jumpers and much more!

Did we mention the City of Midland Fly into Fall event (starts 9:00am) is FREE & open to the public!? So, let's RUN then stick around for a FUN FILLED time at the Midland Airpark!!

📅 Race Details

• Date: August 23, 2025
• Location: 901 Veterans Airpark Lane, Midland, TX 79707
• Parking: Parking is on-site. Please add in extra time for parking! There is a single lane street for parking for all participants and has the potential to get very backed up. We recommend adding 15-30 minutes for parking.
• Route: Please see attached maps for 1 mile and 5K

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pick Up: 6:30-7:45am
• 1 mile begins at 7:45am
• 5k begins at 8:00am
• Fly into Fall event begins at 9:00am

💦 Hydration

Water at the Start/finish area! In addition, there will be (1) aid station on the 5k course.

• Time: 2 PM - 6 PM - FREE RACE STICKER FOR THOSE WHO PICK UP FRIDAY!!!
• Midland Airpark - 901 Veterans Airpark Lane, Midland, TX 79707
• Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025
• Time: 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM

🤝 Volunteer Information

We cannot throw these races without you! Volunteering provides an opportunity to serve participants at aid stations, on the course with directions, with post race food and drinks, etc. Need community service hours? We are happy to accommodate you!

*Times subject to change.
* Please NOTE, course will begin being closing at 9:00 AM and be closed at 9:15 AM. If you are not completed with the distance a Midland Airpark shuttle will bring you back to start/finish line.
*Strollers & Dogs: Strollers and leashed dogs are happily allowed: we ask that you start in the back of the start line corral. Local leash laws apply.
