🌟 Description

Fleet Feet Chico is pleased to offer two trail races in our beautiful Upper Bidwell Park. The two races will start on the south side of the park down Annies Trail for a fun adventure on the single-track trails. Toss in a creek crossing and a nice finish through Yahi and the golf course, you’re sure to enjoy your run!

• Race Options: Half marathon and a 4-mile endurance challenge
• Half Marathon Start Time: 8:10am along the rock wall off Centennial/South Rim trail head
• Elevation Gain: 1600 ft in the first half, followed by downhill
• 4-Mile Endurance Race Start Time: 8:00am with multiple loops

After the race head up to Bidwell Golf Course Bar and grill for some delicious food and drinks!

• Local Fire Academy Cadets: Proceeds support volunteer firefighters in the community

• Half Marathon: 8:10am

📝 Registration

Registration for this race is available online.

• Online registration closes October 17th at 9:00am.
• In-person registration on October 17th and 18th at Fleet Feet Chico from 10am-2pm.
• Register by Friday September 29th to guarantee yourself a race shirt.
• Shirts not guaranteed after September 29th, will be first come first serve at packet pickup.

💰 Race Fee Schedule

Registration Fees:

• June 1st – June 30th: Half Marathon and 4-Mile Endurance Run $80.00
• July 1st – September 30th: Half Marathon and 4-Mile Endurance Run $85.00
• October 1st - October 17th: Half Marathon and 4-Mile Endurance Run $90.00
• In-person Registration (Oct. 17th and 18th): Half Marathon and 4-Mile Endurance Run $95.00

🏃‍♀️ Pre-Race Shake Out Run

Join us on Saturday October 18th at 7:30am at the Horseshoe Lake Parking Lot (Parking Lot E) in Upper Bidwell Park. Enjoy coffee, muffins, and a beautiful 4-5 mile run!

🎉 Pre-Race Social

Need to carb load before the race?

Join Fleet Feet at The Commons located at 2412 Park Ave for a pre-race social.

• Time: 5:00pm-7:00pm
• Discount: 20% off pizza for race participants
• Raffle: for some fun run swag
• Live Music: Starting at 7:00pm (Additional cost for concert ticket)

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be held at Fleet Feet Chico on:

• Friday and Saturday October 17th and 18th, 2025, from 10:00am-2:00pm
• Race Day Packet Pickup: 7:00-7:45am

🧳 Sweat Check

Sweat check will be available for all runners! Clear poly bags will be provided.

• Sweat check available from 7:30am to 4:15pm on race day.

🗺️ Course Certification and Maps

Both the Half Marathon and the 4-Mile Endurance run will start on the south side of Upper Bidwell Park. The 4-mile loop runs through various scenic trails.

🚗 Directions and Parking

To the course: The race is located along the Centennial/South Rim rock wall. Parking is available at several nearby locations.

• 5 Mile Recreation: Preferred parking, gate opens at 6am
• Hooker Oak Park: 0.75 mile from start
• Observatory Lot: Limited parking 0.75 mile from start
• No Parking at Bidwell Golf Course!

📝 Race Rules

• Be Courteous: Overtake slower runners safely.
• Follow Trail Rules: Stay on marked trails (Pink and Orange Flags).
• Wear your Number: It's essential for race timing.
• No Pets or Strollers allowed on the course.

🍰 Post-Race Refreshments

With your race entry, you will receive a meal ticket for post-race food. Extra meal tickets will also be available for purchase.

👕 T-Shirts and Awards

• Tee-shirt cutoff: September 29th, 2025
• Awards: Presented to top male and female finishers and to age group bracket winners.

👥 Spectating

Find safe locations to cheer on your runners!

• Start/Finish Area: Great views of the race.
• Green Gate Parking Lot: Aid Station with limited parking.
• Bear Hole Parking Lot: Energetic spot to cheer.
