CASA SuperHero Walk and 5K Run

💪 WHY WALK or RUN?

CASA of Midwest Kentucky, Inc. has been advocating for child victims who find themselves entangled in the child welfare system when their parents can’t or won’t care for them. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to get to know the child’s situation and offer objective, informed recommendations about what services and outcomes are in his/her best interest. Our program currently has trained advocates serving children in Hopkins, Henderson, Crittenden, Union, Muhlenberg and Webster Counties. Over 728 children needed our services last year and we were able to help 144 of them!

Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes.

📍 WHERE?

We will host the CASA Superhero WALK and 5K RUN this year at Mahr Park in Madisonville to ensure we can continue serving all children referred to our program. We hope that you will join us for a beautiful walk/run to bring awareness to "Child Abuse Prevention" and help us spread hope!

📋 DETAILS!

Superhero costumes are encouraged, but not required! A beautiful walk/run in a picturesque park in the heart of Hopkins County. There will be prizes for best costume, best group costumes, and a fun scavenger hunt for the kids along the walk! You can meet others that are community-minded from throughout our service area! There will be food trucks on site to keep people caffeinated and fueled for the walk. Also be on the lookout for superheroes along the walk!!!

• Donation: A minimum donation of $30 will get you a t-shirt if you pre-register!
• Children's Pricing: Children 12 and under can be registered using the "Special Pricing Button" that will allow a $10 donation, and the kids will receive a cape and be registered to participate in the Walk!
• Registration: The Registration Tent will open at 5 p.m. If you pre-registered, you can pick up your t-shirt/cape at the Packet Pick-Up August 21st 2-6 p.m. at the Madisonville CASA Office.
• Events: The group walk will begin at 5:30 p.m. The 5K will begin at 6 p.m. Only those pre-registered by 8/4/25 will be guaranteed an event shirt.
