5k Color Run

🎉 Welcome to the South Bend Kroc Center 5K Color Run 2025

Get ready to lace up your running shoes, slap on your shades, and dive into a kaleidoscope of colors at the most vibrant event of the year! On June 28th, 2025, join us for a 5k Color Run that promises to paint the town with joy and excitement.

• Location: South Bend Kroc Center
• Route: New and exciting route through downtown South Bend
• Registration Fee: $15 until June 13th: free for children under age 5

🎶 Race Day Experience

Whether you are running, walking, skipping, or dancing your way through the course, you are in for an unforgettable morning full of color, music, and fun. Our sign-ups are almost full so if you know of anyone still waiting to register, please encourage them to do so ASAP. We also wanted to say a huge thank you for signing up! Your support of events like this allows The Kroc Center to keep doing amazing work in the community.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Pickup Times:
  • Wednesday, June 25th, 4–6 PM
  • Friday, June 27th, 11-1 PM
  • Friday, June 27th, 4–6 PM
• Race Morning Pickup: Arrive 15 minutes earlier at the registration table on the turf field

👕 Attire

You will receive white race-day shirts in your packets but feel free to supplement your outfits with as many colorful accessories as possible! If you signed up through the Kroc website or signed up after 6/21/25, you would not have selected your shirt size yet: just tell our staff your desired size when picking up your packet.

🚗 Parking Info

The Chapin St. entrance to The Kroc Center will be closed on race day to ensure we keep race participants safe. Please use the Western Ave. entrance to access the Kroc Center. If the main parking lot is full, you can park opposite The Kroc Center, across Western Ave. in additional lots.

⏰ Show Time & Warm-Up

Be sure to arrive by 7:55AM. We will kick things off with a fun, high-energy guided warm-up to get you loose, laughing, and ready to roll! The race will officially begin right after the warm-up.

🗺️ Route Overview

This year’s route is brand new! We have laid out the route step-by-step here. We still start at the Kroc Center, head through downtown South Bend, and finish right back at The Kroc Center. You’ll meet a lot of our wonderful volunteers with even more color powder along the way.

1. Start on the field at the Kroc Center
2. Cross the Chapin St. pedestrian bridge
3. Head down Western Ave. to Taylor St.
4. Loop around Four Winds Field, then back to Western Ave.
5. Continue east to Michigan St., run north to Colfax Ave.
6. Circle the block (Colfax → Main → Washington)
7. Head back down Michigan St.
8. Retrace steps on Western, around Four Winds Field, then back to the Kroc Center
9. Cross the pedestrian bridge again to your finish line on the field!

☔ Weather Back-Up Plan

We are hoping for amazing weather on race day but, in the event of severe weather, our rainout/reschedule day is set for July 12th. You will hear from us by 6am on race day if we are going to reschedule.
