SRC Presents: A Backyard Ultra

🌳 About the Race

• Location: Blydenburgh County Park, Hauppauge, NY
• Running Culture: Long Island has a rich and deep running culture. There are multiple events every weekend to choose from.
• Unique Opportunity: This event will provide an opportunity for those that enjoy ultra or trail running to participate in a unique event.
• Beneficiary: A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference, who help maintain the trails on Long Island.

⏳ Race Format

• Endurance Challenge: A backyard ultra is not a race to see who is the fastest but see who can endure the longest.
• Distance: Participants will run 4.167 miles every hour on the hour.
• Completion Requirement: Participants will be required to drop out if they cannot complete the distance in that time period.
• Winning Criteria: The final competitor to be able to complete a full loop will be declared the winner.

📅 Bib Pick Up

• Check-in: Bib numbers will be assigned at check in.
• Early Pick Up: You can pick up your bib early from Smithtown Running Company:
• Dates: Thursday, December 11th - 11 am - 7 pm, Friday, December 12th - 11 am - 5 pm
• Race Morning: You can pick up your bib starting at 6:45 am from the start/finish line area.

🚫 On-Site Sign Ups

There will be no on-site sign ups on the morning of 12/13 at Blydenburgh County Park. You can only pick up your bibs, if you haven't already done so.
