Revenge of the Red Baron Half Marathon and 5K

Race Overview

The Red Baron is back…and he’s out for REVENGE!

• Event: The 43rd running of the Red Baron provides the option of running a half marathon or a 5K.
• Discounts: Discounts are available for current SUNY Corning Community College students (more info on that coming soon).
• Special Pricing: Special 5K pricing is available for all participants age 18 and under.
• Challenge: This event is PERFECT for anyone who is looking for a uniquely challenging road race and the opportunity to test your mettle against the vengeful Red Baron!

Race Details

• Date: Sunday, November 2, 2025.
• Time: The race starts promptly at 11:00 AM.
• Location: Start and finish at Corning Community College, 1 Academic Drive, Corning, NY 14830. Refer to the course map for details including aid station and porta-potty locations.
• Post Race: Bib pick-up and the post-race celebration will be in the Commons at SUNY Corning Community College.

Registration Information

• Open Date: Online registration OPENS on June 30 at 8:00 AM.
• Early Bird Pricing: Special early bird half marathon pricing for the first 2 weeks for anyone brave enough to take on the challenge without seeing the course!
• Close Date: Online registration CLOSES at noon October 30.
• Same Day Registration: Same day registration will be available before the race.

Packet Pickup and Onsite Registration

• Pickup Time: Packet pick up and on the spot registration will be from 9:30 - 10:45, November 2 in the Commons of Corning Community College.

Awards

• Winners: Top overall winners in the Half Marathon and 5K for Male and Female, as well as 1st place in each age group category.
• Ceremony: There will be an in-person Awards Ceremony in the Commons at SUNY Corning Community College following each race.

Age Group Categories

• Categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Results

• Chip Timing: The event is chip timed and results will be available online the day of the race.

Swag

• Hooded Sweatshirt: All half marathon participants will receive a Revenge of the Red Baron hooded sweatshirt.
• 5K Options: 5K participants will have the option to purchase a short sleeve running shirt and/or a hooded sweatshirt.

Finisher’s Medal

• Medal: All finishers receive a custom finisher’s medal.

Post Race Celebration

• Location: The post-race celebration will take place at Corning Community College.
• Food: Food will be provided, and there will be vegetarian options.

Parking

• Availability: Parking will be available in the Corning Community College parking lots.

Policy

• No Deferrals: There are no deferrals, refunds, or credits for other STRC events.
