45th Iroquois Hill Runners Thanksgiving Day Run

🏃‍♂️ Louisville's Traditional Thanksgiving Day Run!

Run or walk the five-mile course November 27th, Thanksgiving morning.

• 5-Mile Run: Course Preview
• 5K with Stuffing: 5K Preview
• 1.25 Mile Run/Walk: Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM 5 Mile Run, 9:05 AM 5K with stuffing, 9:10 AM 1.25 Mile Run/Walk

Please note the roadways are open allowing access to the golf course. Use the pedestrian path while on the back side of the park.

• Overall Cash Prize: Male and Female (5 Miler & 5K Only)
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 (5 Miler Only)
• Oldest Runner Prize: Oldest Female and Male Runner (5 Miler Only)
• First Stroller Finisher: (5 Miler Only)
• Costume Contest:
• Random Drawing Prizes: $1000 in total

Prizes will be awarded at 10:30 AM at DJ Booth (must be present to win).

🎭 Costume Contest

Put your creativity to work and wear a costume. Turkeys, unicorns, pies, and ugly sweaters welcome. Grand prize: $50.

🎽 Race Swag

Each entrant will receive a top-quality long sleeve shirt and entry in drawing. The first 1,500 entrants will receive a medal.

💲 Entry Fees

• $30 Early Sign Up: Online before October 15th.
• $35: After Oct 15th, online before Nov 15th.
• $40: After Nov 15th, online prior to the start of the race.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pick up is Tuesday & Wednesday (November 25th & 26th) Thanksgiving week at Swag's South End Store. They are open 10 AM-7 PM at Swag's Sport Shoes south end location. Race Day pickup also available on site for those who can't make it out to Swag's, although early pickup is highly encouraged.

🏁 Race Day Packet Pickup

Race Day Packet Pickup will close 15 minutes before the 5 Miler start at 9:00 AM.

🐕 Pets

Pets are allowed on the race course. For safety purposes, all pets must be leashed, and runners with pets must start at the back of the runners and stay on the right side of the road.

🅿️ Parking

There is limited parking available in the Iroquois Amphitheater Lot during the event. Please do not drive or park on grass areas in Iroquois Park.

Overflow parking is available in Colonial Gardens, 818 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214, and DeSales High School, 425 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214, which is a short walk to the Start and Finish Line.

🏆 Awards

5-Mile Run Awards

• Male/Female Overall: Cash awards: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50
• Other Awards: Gift Certificates to Swags Sports Shoes, available starting December 2nd – December 13th at Swags South Store.
• Age Group: Three-deep M/F in 5 year brackets from 14 and under to 75 and older, with awards: 1st $20, 2nd $15, 3rd $10.
• Eugene Baker Memorial Award: Oldest Runner $50, First Stroller $20 (must begin behind runners).
• No Awards: for the 5K or 1.25 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
