Join us to support our local wildlife! All proceeds from this event will go towards Wild Instincts, Inc. Wild Instincts is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center in Rhinelander, Wisconsin that serves the wildlife throughout our entire state. Read more about Wild Instincts by clicking here!

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, Sept. 26th, 2026
• Registration/Check-in: 8:00 - 8:45
• Race Start: 10K+ at 9:00, 5K at 9:05
• Distance Note: The 10K+ is 10.9K (6.8 miles)

Location

• Parking & Start/End Point: Newbold Recreation Area: 6954 Ole Lake Road, Rhinelander, WI
• Event Format: 5K and 10K+, open to walkers, runners, and bikers!
• Strollers: Welcome (Sorry, while we love our 4-legged pals, no dogs please)

Registration Fees

• Entry Fee: Nonrefundable $30 (10K) and $25 (5K) - Plus a $3.00 service fee
• Children Policy: Ages 12 and under are free (please still register for liability waiver purposes)
• T-shirts: Guaranteed to those registered by Sept. 12th
• Event Type: This is a non-timed event

Prizes and Contest

• Prizes: For top two finishers in the following categories: 5K run, 10K+ run, 10K+ bike
• Support Nature: Wear a shirt that shows support for nature or wildlife to be entered into a drawing!!

Course Route

The route: Start at Newbold Rec Area --> Ole Lake Road --> Lake Mildred Road --> Bike path back --> Ole Lake Road --> End at Newbold Rec Area
