For The Wild 5K/10K+

Join us to support our local wildlife! All proceeds from this event will go towards Wild Instincts, Inc. Wild Instincts is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center in Rhinelander, Wisconsin that serves the wildlife throughout our entire state. Read more about Wild Instincts by clicking here!

📅 Event Details

• Date: Saturday, Sept. 20th, 2025
• Check-in: Registration/Check-in 8:00 - 8:45
• Start Times: 10 K+ start @ 9:00, 5 K start @ 9:05
• Distance Note: Very Important: The 10K+ is 10.9K (6.8 miles)

📍 Location

• Parking: Parking & Start/End point at Newbold Recreation Area: 6954 Ole Lake Road, Rhinelander, WI
• Participants: 5K and 10K+, open to walkers, runners, and bikers!
• Strollers: Strollers welcome (Sorry, while we love our 4-legged pals, no dogs please)
• Entry Fee: Nonrefundable entry fee of $30 (10K) and $25 (5K) - Plus a $3.00 service fee

👶 Children’s Participation

• Free Entry: Children ages 12 and under are free (please still register for liability waiver purposes)
• T-shirts: T-shirts guaranteed to those registered by Sept. 14th
• Event Timing: This is a non-timed event
• Prizes: Prizes for top two finishers in the following categories: 5K run, 10K+ run, 10K+ bike

🎉 Special Drawing

• Shirt Requirement: Wear a shirt that shows support for nature or wildlife to be entered into a drawing!!

🏃 The Route

The route: Start at Newbold Rec Area --> Ole Lake Road --> Lake Mildred Road --> Bike path back --> Ole Lake Road --> End at Newbold Rec Area
