Race Details

• 5k Race: Timed race through community streets with police marshals and volunteers ensuring safety.
• 1-mile Fun Run: Open to kids 10 and under, or adults can walk. Not timed, but participants receive a shark-themed goody bag and choice of shark socks.
• Community Focus: Promoting ocean awareness and fitness while raising funds for Shark Stewards nonprofit's Ocean Academy group.
• Awards: Prizes for the top 3 in each age group (10 under, 11-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66 over).

Fun Activities

• Family Fun: 1-mile event includes a bubble station, water sprinkler run, and other enjoyable activities.
• Costume Contest: Wear an ocean costume to win a prize, with top 3 boys & girls recognized.
• Community Involvement: Participants encouraged to engage in events promoting ocean health.
• Location: At South Jr. High, 2320 E. South St. Anaheim, CA 92806.

Support Opportunities

• Sponsor a Kid: Contribute any amount to send kids to CIMI on Catalina Island for a weekend of ocean science.
• Team Discounts: Teams of 5 or more receive $5 off: the first four sign-ups pay the current price, and others get a discount.
• Refund Process: The first four team members will automatically receive a $5 refund.

Virtual Option

• Participate Remotely: Join us via the Virtual Option and complete the race in your neighborhood.
• Event Experience: On-site booths offer information about ocean health, sharks, and fitness from sponsors.
• Fundraising Goal: The event supports Shark Stewards, a fiscally sponsored project of Earth Island Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
• Mission: Shark Stewards works to protect sharks and preserve healthy ocean ecosystems.

• Online Registration: Closes 6 PM on Friday, November 14th.
