🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Wipe Out Cancer 5K is taking place on August 10, 2025, at 112 Shadymere Ln, Columbus, OH. This event is a vital fundraiser for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), with all proceeds going directly to the organization.

📅 Personal Journey

• Diagnosis: I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer in October 2020.
• Remission: By March 2021, I was able to get my cancer into remission.
• Treatment: After receiving chemotherapy and my stem cells back, I was released from the hospital 10 days later.
• Ongoing Battle: Cancer remains in remission but is expected to return as there is currently no cure.

🏅 Running Background

• Experience: I have participated in various races, including marathons and 5Ks.
• Resilience: After my treatment, I completed the Warmup Columbus Half Marathon 11 months later.
• Future Goals: I aim to run the NYC Marathon on November 2, 2025, as part of my fundraising efforts.
• Annual Event: I hope to make the Wipe Out Cancer 5K an annual event for continued support of MMRF.
