Out of the Dark 5K/10K

The Out of the Dark 5K is a run/walk that is dedicated to raising awareness about the connection between suicide and traumatic brain injuries. It is about helping others on their journey out of the dark and into the light of healing and hope.

💵 Support and Proceeds

• Proceeds: All proceeds from the Out of the Dark 5K will go directly to supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
• Funding: The funds will assist in their treatment at a specialized brain plasticity clinic.
• Therapy: This clinic offers intensive, life-changing therapy - giving people renewed hope and tools to rebuild cognitive, emotional, and physical function.
• Awareness: Far too many people in our community struggle silently, and the Out of the Dark 5K aims to shine a light into that darkness.

📏 Race Details

The race will consist of a 1-mile route, a 5K route, and a 10K route.

📝 Registration Information

• Deadline: Register for the race by August 15th, 2025 to receive a free race t-shirt.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Any registrations after August 15th are not guaranteed to get a t-shirt.

🌍 Location

The race will take place at Downtown Square, Troy, AL.
