ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race

🏞️ Race Overview

Darby Creek is the largest Metro Park with more than 7,000 acres of prairies, fields and forests, and more than 20 miles of riparian forest along the Big and Little Darby Creeks. The Darby creeks are noted nationally for their tremendous diversity and abundance of both aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals. More information on the park.

🕘 Race Details

• Race Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Location: Battelle Darby Creek Metropark, 1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, OH 43119 (Cedar Ridge Parking Area)
• Pre-Registration: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration to receive your chip on race day.
• Minors Registration: Minors may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

💵 Fees

• ORRRC Members: Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event)
• Non-Members: $10 for ages 15 and up: Free for ages 14 and under
• Registration Proof: Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!

📋 Registration Information

• Race Day Registration: available online until approximately 15 minutes before race start time: hard copy registration sheets also available if needed.
• Arrival Recommendation: We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, register, and warm-up prior to the race start.

🏆 Awards

First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (over 40), First Grand Master Male/Female (over 50), First Male/Female Senior (over 60) – Recipients of overall awards are not eligible for age group awards. Age group categories: 9 and under (non-competitive, all finishers are winners), 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up.

🗺️ Directions

• From Columbus: From I-270 take the West Broad Street (U.S. 40) exit west. Go about 5 miles on Broad Street and turn left onto Darby Creek Drive. The Cedar Ridge parking area (race start/finish) entrance is the 2nd park entrance heading south about 3 miles from U.S. 40.
• From Dayton Area: Take I-70 East to the Rt. 142 (Exit 85). Go south (right at the ramp) about 1.5 miles to Broad St. (U.S. 40) and go east (left at the first light). Travel about 2 miles to Darby Creek Dr. and go south (right). The Cedar Ridge parking area (race start/finish) entrance is the 2nd park entrance heading south about 3 miles from U.S. 40.
