πŸš΅β€β™‚οΈ COURSE DETAILS

  • Options: The 33-Mile and 18-Mile Courses include the McPhee Overlook Trail, an epic fun flowing singletrack that hugs the cliffs above McPhee Reservoir with spectacular views of the lake. The 15-Mile Course is a great intro to Boggy Draw.
  • Challenges: Racers can choose from a variety of challenges based on their speed, fitness and technical ability.
  • Experience: Every category offers an unbeatable experience on fast and flowing singletrack.
  • Terrain: The routes undulate through ponderosa pines and up and over canyons through aspen groves.

πŸ† COMPETITION

  • Elite Athletes: While this is a grass-roots hometown event, there is no shortage of stiff competition.
  • Past Competitors: In past years, you would have lined up next to John Tomac, Travis Brown, Ashley Carelock and other elite athletes.
  • Start/Finish: Start and Finish line is in the center of town at Flanders Park (4th Street & Central) for the 18-Mile and 33-Mile.
  • Shuttles: We will offer shuttles back up to retrieve your vehicles.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ FAMILY AND ADAPTIVE CATEGORIES

  • New Categories: Adding a 65+ age category to all races! A family-friendly ride called the "Easy Breezy" takes you on a short 3-mile ride along the Dolores River Trail.
  • Adaptive Racing: New since 2025, an Adaptive Racer Category has been added to our 15-mile Goose Race.
  • Special Features: The course is made friendly for those using adaptive bikes with wider trails and easier flow.
  • Collaboration: Telluride Adaptive Sports worked with us on our inaugural run in 2025.

πŸŽ‰ EVENT AMENITIES

  • Safety: We work with the local Sheriff's Office and Course Marshals to guide you around the Boggy Draw Trail System.
  • Timing: Race is chip-timed by Rocky Mountain Timing.
  • Celebration: We will have a beer garden, a race emcee, food vendors, and music through the morning and afternoon.
  • Awards: Awards will begin around noon, depending on when we have the majority of 1st/2nd/3rd place racers in.

❗ RACE POLICY

We are not anticipating cancelling the race for any reason (we raced even during the COVID restrictions of 2020), but if we do, we will refund the entire amount of the entry fee. But we’re not cancelling!
