The Flynn's Flyers 5k Run/Walk

Event Overview

The Central Falls School District is proud to announce that year three of the Flynn's Flyers 5k run/walk race will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 in Central Falls Rhode Island.

Purpose

• In Memory Of: Ms. Kelly Flynn, a long-time colleague, friend, coach, and educator who passed away in the spring of 2023.
• Honor Legacy: Let's run together to honor the legacy of Kelly.
• Funds Raised: All funds raised will go towards the Girls on the Run CFSD afterschool program.
• Good Luck: Fly high, Ms. Flynn and good luck to all the runners involved.

Race Details

• Start Time: The race will start promptly at 9:00 am with a short speaking engagement starting at around 8:40 am.
• Check-In: Runners may start the check-in process at the starting line as early as 7:45 am.
• Location: The race will start and end at Yip Field in Central Falls, with parking located a short distance from the starting line.
• Course: Participants can choose to complete 3 loops of the mixed terrain scenic course to complete the 3.1 mile race.

Participation Guidelines

• Who Can Join: Both runners and walkers are encouraged to register for the event.
• Safety Rules: Dogs and baby carriages are not allowed due to safety issues and course design.
• Participant Gifts: All participants will receive a t-shirt and race medal.
• Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided for runners at the conclusion of the race.

Encouragement

We encourage family and friends to cheer on runners throughout the course. This is a rain or shine event.
