17th Annual Race for Recovery 5K Run & Fun Walk

Race Overview

• Date: September 20, 2026
• Location: Jack Curtis Stadium, Cooper River Park, Pennsauken Township, NJ
• Pre-registration: Closes at 10am: walk-ups are accepted.
• Parking: Large parking lot adjacent to the stadium.

Event Purpose

• Annual Event: 17th Annual Race for Recovery presented by The Piperno Family.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds support the Peter P. Black IV Scholarship Fund.
• Foundation: Established in memory of Peter by Kathleen “Kate” Holt after his passing from a substance use disorder.
• Mission: Helping individuals access treatment who need financial support.

Event Features

• Family Activities: DJ, moisture-wicking race shirts, refreshments, water ice, photo booth.
• Awards: Given to the top males and females in various age categories.
• Kids' Dash: New kids' dash for ages 10 and under, with face painting.
• Zumba Session: Available for those not participating in walking or running.

• Entry Fee: $20 to walk or run: children under 10 are free.
