Mountwood Challenge Trail Race

🏞️ Event Overview

• Race Date: 2025-09-20
• Location: 1014 Volcano Road, Waverly, WV
• Distance Options: 10 mile and 5K trail races
• Park Location: Mountwood Park - 15 miles east of Parkersburg, WV on U.S. Route 50

🛣️ Parking Information

• Exit: Take the Volcano Road exit
• Parking Lot: Main parking lot is about one half mile by the boat ramp

⏰ Race Details

• Time Limit: The 10 mile has a 4 hour time limit
• Halfway Point: Any participant over 2 hours at the halfway point will be routed to the finish
• Age Requirement: Runners must be at least 15 years old to participate in the 10 mile race
• T-Shirts: Guaranteed if registered by September 6

🏆 Awards

• Overall Awards: Presented to the top 3 overall male and female in all races
• Age Group Awards: One age group award in all 3 races
• Age Categories: Under 15 (5K only), 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
