Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

Community: This will be the first year in Santa Rosa and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.
🏅 How far is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk or run event.
Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
📝 Can I register on the day of the run?
Registration Time: Yes. Registration will open at 7 am the morning of the run.
Late Fee: There will be a $5 late registration fee for those who choose to register on the morning of the race for all registrants except for First Responders.
Shirt Availability: If you wait to register, we may not have a shirt for you and we cannot guarantee sizes for late registrants.
⏰ When does online registration close?
End Time: Online registration will remain open until the start of the event.
Packet Pick-up: If you register after packet pick-up, you may not receive your t-shirt and any other race day swag.
👕 Does my registration come with a T-shirt?
Guarantee: If you register before October 20th you are guaranteed a shirt.
After October 20th: People who register after this date are not guaranteed a shirt and will get one as supplies last.
🔄 Can I transfer my registration to another participant?
Yes: See the information above OR contact us at santarosarun@t2t.org and we will manually change it in our system.
💰 Can I get a refund?
Policy: We do not provide refunds for the event regardless if you cannot make the date or the foundation needs to cancel the event for extenuating circumstances.
Registration Transfer: Registration may be transferred to another person.
🎽 Do I have to wear my bib number?
Display: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Course Rules: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
🏁 I am a fast runner. Can I get a front-line position?
Seeding: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early!).
🏆 Will there be awards for running?
Awards: Yes, awards will be given out to the top 3 runners in each category.
Categories: Male/Female Overall, Male/Female first responders in gear, top 3 boy/girl teen, top 3 boy/girl child.
🚼 What can you bring to the event?
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Caution: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. All items should be stored securely at the owner's risk.
🚰 Will water be available?
Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and there will be water available at the start/finish line.
🩺 Is there a medical staff available on-site?
Emergency Services: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
Communication: There is also radio communication available on the course to help communicate with the EMS.
📦 Where can I pick up my packet?
Race Day: Packet pickup will be available on race day starting at 7 am.
Early Pickup: We may also hold early packet pickup at a location TBD on race week.
🤝 Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Requirements: Yes, they can. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.

Fundraising Page: Yes! Once you are registered, you will be given directions to start your own fundraising page and you will be able to accept donations online.

Incentives: Yes, we offer fundraising incentives each year: check out our latest in our Fundraising Guide.
Qualification: To qualify, complete your fundraising by June 30, 2025, for winter and spring events, or December 10, 2025, for Summer and Fall events.
❓ Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
Not Included: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
