🎖️ RUCK & ROLL EVENT OVERVIEW:
Get ready to ruck, roll, or stroll through a fall‑themed fitness challenge in support of veterans and adaptive athletes! Ruck & Roll brings the community together for an action‑packed day of endurance, camaraderie, and achievement — with courses and categories for every ability.

🗺️ WHAT'S A RUCK?!?
A ruck is walking/hiking with a weighted pack. Rucking is a fundamental part of military training, involving soldiers walking long distances while carrying heavy packs. It's used to build strength, endurance, and prepare soldiers for combat.
- Flexible Gear: Ruck & Roll participants can use weighted packs, vests, or no weight at all!

🦽 WHAT'S THE ROLL?
The roll is for adaptive athletes using handcycles or recumbents. Please note the competitive roll takes place on challenging terrain.

🏃 RUCK & ROLL EVENT OPTIONS:
Ruck Distances:
- 7K: (1) 4.3-mile loop (12pm start)
- 14K: (2) 4.3-mile loops (10am start)
- 21K: (3) 4.3 mile loops (8am start)
Ruck Divisions:
- Ranger: Competitive Ruck - 40 pounds (for participants over 150 pounds)
- Scout: Competitive Ruck - 20 pounds (for participants under 150 pounds)
- Cadet: Competitive Ruck - 10 pounds (for youth, new ruckers, etc.)
- Infantry: Social Ruck (No Timing or Awards) - no weight or light weight of your choice: entry-level, fun, social pace
- Platoon: Competitive 21K Relay Team - 2-3 team members - see weight above for what each team member should carry
Roll Distances:
Please note: this course takes place on challenging, hilly trail that will test your strength and endurance. Be sure to check out the course map which includes elevation profile. COURSE MAP COMING SOON!
- 2.5: mile challenging loop (12pm start)
- 5.0: (2) 2.5-mile challenging loops (10am start)
- 7.5: (3) 2.5-mile challenging loops (8am start)
Don’t have an adaptive bike? IM ABLE has handcycle and recumbent loaners. Please email becky@imablefoundation.org to reserve one. First come: first serve.
2-Mile Fun Run/Walk:
- Not interested in any of the above? Come out for an easy 2-mile hike with your friends and family. Note this course is on a mix of an old road and trail: it is not paved.

📦 OPERATION SUPPLY DROP – RUCK FOR A REASON:
Participants can fill their packs with canned or packaged food instead of weights to donate to the Veterans Making a Difference organization. Scales will be used to confirm weights.
- SOCIAL TEAMS: The more the merrier! Gather your friends and family to form a social team and get a discount! Teams of 5 or more will get $5 off registration.
