Event: The McNair 5K event is an annual event sponsored by the Ron McNair Committee, Lake City, SC.
Mission: Our mission is to promote health and physical fitness for all ages.
Races: The format includes a half mile Kids run, a 1 mile fun walk, and the 5K run (main event).
Awards: Trophies and awards will be given to winners in the 5K Event and the Kids run.

Date: October 18, 2025
Location: 235 East Main Street, Lake City, SC
Schedule:
- 8:00 am Opening Ceremony
- 5K Start at 8:10 am
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run at 8:20 am
Proceeds: Go to the Ron McNair Committee

Pickup: Shirts can be picked up on the day preceding the race (6:00 – 8:00 pm) and the morning of the race.
Sizes: Adult Small – 3X, Youth Medium – Child Large
No Guarantee: Sizes are not guaranteed on the day of race registrations.
5K Course Map: See Attached

5K Awards: Top 2 Overall Male & Top 2 Overall Female, Top Male & Top Female finishers in each age group.
Age Groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Kids Race Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Top 3 Overall Female.
Awards Criteria: Overall Awards are based on Gun Time.

5K Fees: Early Registration (Before October 1st - $15 youth under 18, $25 Adults 18 and older). Late Registration (October 1st and later - $20 youth under 18, $30 Adults 18 and older). Day of Race Price (Same as late registration).
Kids Race Fees: 6 & Under Registration - Free, 7-18 Registration - $15.
Packet Pickup: Location: McNair Life History Center, 235 East Main Street, Lake City, SC 29560, Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and morning of the race.
No Age Restrictions: There are no age restrictions on this event.

Strollers: Welcome at this event
Music: People are welcome to listen to music while running
Pets: On a leash are welcome at the event
Parking: We share parking with the public library, no parking in identified reserved spaces.
