Please join us on Saturday morning, May 9, for the 2026 Kick for Kenya 5K!

Run or walk for a cause - proceeds will be used to help fund planning and execution of community development training and projects in rural eastern Kenya in partnership with Kenya Kids (US-based nonprofit), the Touch Africa Child Education Programme (TACEP, a Kenyan NGO), and other local Kenyan community partners. Funds raised will be invested where needed most, in particular to provide educational opportunities, improve public health, and address food and water insecurity. Our Kenyan partners' long-term vision includes construction and development of a community center with dedicated space for field staff offices, tutoring and counseling services, animal husbandry and agricultural demonstration plots, and hosting speakers/conferences for educational instruction and vocational training, as well as on-site housing for children or families in need and/or short-term international visitors.

📝 Race Notes

• 💵 Registration, Entry Fees, and Donations

  • Early bird pricing: $35 per entrant registered by April 15.
  • Tax deductible: Note that $25 of the $35 entry fee is considered tax deductible.
  • Entry fee increases: Goes up to $40 on April 16 and $45 during race week.
  • Pre-registration: Highly encouraged to ensure timely start and adequate resources.

• 📦 Packet Pickup and Parking

  • Pre-race pickup: Available at Eastwind Community Church and Fleet Feet locations.
  • Day of race pickup: 8-9 AM in the Eastwind Community Church parking lot.
  • Parking: Available at Eagle Christian Church: lot closure during the race.
  • Transportation: Carpooling or biking is highly encouraged.

• 🏁 Race

  • Start/finish: In the Eastwind Community Church Parking lot.
  • Starting time: 9:30 AM!
  • Course: Runs out and back along the Surprise Valley bike path.

• 🎉 Amenities

  • Course details: Accurate out-and-back on a flat, scenic bike path.
  • Support: Course marshals and aid station available.
  • Food: Post-race food and party provided.
  • Prizes: Great prizes for top finishers and more!
