5K RUN FOR THE DONUT *Fifth Anniversary*

Come join a really fun crew for the Fifth Annual 5K RUN FOR THE DONUT on Saturday, February 14❤️, 2026. Have a blast on a professionally chip-timed, flat, out-and-back with a loop 5K course that travels through a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Stay for the awards while you enjoy your coffee, donut and other breakfast items!

5K RUN FOR THE DONUT IS SANCTIONED BY THE MANASOTA TRACK CLUB, AND IS IN THE 2026 RACING SERIES.

Costumes encouraged, the crazier the better.

🕗 Saturday Race Schedule

• Start Time: 8:00 am start for 5K
• Fun Run: Starts 30ish minutes after 5K race start

📍 Location

Lakeview Elementary School, 7299 Proctor Rd in Sarasota through Bent Tree Woodlands II

• Parking: All parking and indoor bathrooms are at the Sarasota Baptist Church across the street. Port a Potties available at Lakeview.

☔ Weather Policy

THIS RACE WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE. If there are unsafe conditions for runners and volunteers (for example, heavy rain, wind and lightning) the race will switch to a virtual race.

📋 Other Things to Know

• Strollers and Dogs: Welcome.
• Water Stop: 1 water stop halfway through the course.
• EMS: Will be on site at the school campus.

● Awesome Race Shirt - this is a lightweight, 100% cotton, soft spun fitted shirt. MUST REGISTER BY FEB 1 TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT IN YOUR SELECTED SIZE! All shirts not claimed by the start of the race will be forfeited and be made available for size-swapping and giveaways.

♻️ No Waste Initiative

We are making every effort to have this be a NO WASTE RACE. If you don't like your award or the shirt doesn't fit, you are welcome to exchange it for something else after the race. (Look for the Award Exchange table in the race village.) You can take a picture with your medal and then turn it back in, and we will reuse it next year.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Event Size

This will always be a small, family feel event - race capped at 500 registrants.

💸 Registration Policy

No refunds, all registrations are donations to keep growing YL in the Sarasota Community.

🏆 Award Pickup

Awards will be available for two weeks at New Balance Sarasota, 1872 Stickney Point Rd starting on Monday after the race if you are unable to stay for the ceremony.
