🎉 RUN 4 BEIGEL LONG ISLAND

• Celebration: The RUN 4 BEIGEL is much more than a race - it's a birthday weekend celebration. We will #JustRunFaster for Scott!
• Family-friendly: Join us on-site at Heckscher State Park and bring your family and friends to celebrate Scott's 43rd birthday together. On-site fun for all includes face painting, caricature artist, balloon animals and sticker art.
• Memory: RUN 4 BEIGEL is a special event celebrating the life and impact of Scott J. Beigel, beloved teacher, cross-country coach and summer-camp counselor.
• Support: Donations raised through RUN 4 BEIGEL events support the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization. Every entry, sponsor and donor is a valued partner to RUN 4 BEIGEL as we race to remember Scott and change the world for children in need.

💼 ABOUT THE SCOTT J. BEIGEL MEMORIAL FUND:

• Mission: The mission and purpose of the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund is to help send at-risk children touched by gun violence to summer sleep-away camp.
• Legacy: Scott loved working with children and teaching afforded him the ability to continue with one of his greatest passions, working at summer sleep-away camp.
• Grants: In 2022, The Fund presented $283,600 in grants to 6 summer sleep-away camps, funding camperships for 212 children.
• Growth: The Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund keeps Scott's legacy of giving back to the kids alive and growing. Through fundraising efforts, event participants, sponsors and private donors, The Fund sends at-risk children to summer sleep-away camp year after year, increasing the number of supported children annually.

• 7:30 AM: Package Pickup and Registration opens
• 9:00 AM: 5K Run / Walk Begins
• 10:00 AM: Kids Fun Run

🏆 AWARDS (in-person participants):

• Winners: Overall winners in the 5K (Female and Male)
• Medals: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each age division (Female and Male)
• Divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

• 5K RUN / WALK (LIVE EVENT - In Person): Date: Sunday, 10/19/25, Start time: 9:00am EST, Join as individual or a team, Those pre-registered by 10/8 will get a guaranteed race t-shirt.
• Pre-Registration: $35
• Day of Race Registration: $40
• Costumes: Wear your Halloween costumes, or other costume of your choice!
