Race Announcement

Event Overview

• Peaceful Setting: Enjoy a tranquil atmosphere surrounded by nature.

Fundraising Purpose

• Goal: Funds raised are for the $30,000 cost of the food packing event.
• Meals Prepared: Together with the “Feed My Starving Children” organization, 100,000 meals will be packed.
• Event Date: This packing event will take place at New Canaan High School on March 7, 2026.
• Volunteer Needs: We need 500 volunteers for two-hour shifts: be part of this important initiative.

Event Highlights

• Santa’s Presence: Santa will be on-site for the Santa Dash and family photos.
• Shirt Guarantee: First 200 participants to register will receive long sleeve cotton shirts.
• Awards: Top overall male and female 5K finishers and age group winners will receive medals.
• Parking: Ample parking is available nearby for event day attendees.

Event Schedule

• Dec 10: T-shirt guarantee ends: may run out after this date.
• Dec 13: Registration fee increases by $5.
• Dec 19: Pre-registration bib and shirt pickup from 1-4 PM at Waveny Park.
• Dec 20: Event day registration and activities starting from 7:45 AM.

Course Information

• 5K Course: The course will be run in the opposite direction this year.
• One Mile Walk: Same as in previous years, following Waveny Park Rd.
• Safety Note: Course may change based on trail conditions to ensure safety.
• Experience: Enjoy easy downhill section on the revised 5K course.
