🎅 12th Annual New Canaan Santa Run
We are excited to bring you the 12th Annual New Canaan Santa Run!
📅 Event Overview
Join us on Saturday Dec 20, at Waveny Park in New Canaan CT.
- Participation: All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to run or walk our 5K course or 1-mile course.
- Family Event: Gather your family and friends to start your pre-Christmas weekend together in the pastoral setting of a truly scenic park.
- Location: Our Waveny Park courses start & finish at the historic 'Castle'.
- Experience: You'll experience a true, peaceful setting with Nature on all sides!
❤️ Supporting a Cause
Funds raised will help underwrite the $30,000 cost for our food packing event.
- Meals Distributed: Our volunteers, together with the “Feed My Starving Children” organization, will put together 100,000 meals to be distributed worldwide!
- Event Date: This massive endeavor will take place at New Canaan High School on March 7, 2026.
- Volunteer Involvement: It involves 500 volunteers working two-hour shifts of 180 'packers', set up and clean up staff as well.

📰 Event Highlights
Help us spread the word, invite everyone you know. We HO-HO-HOPE you’ll join us!
- Santa's Presence: Santa will be on-site to run with the kids in the Santa Dash and take family pictures & selfies.
- Shirts Provided: The first 200 participants to register will receive long sleeve cotton shirts while supplies last.
- Registration Deadline: After Dec 10 - or 200 registered - we cannot guarantee there will be shirts available.
- Awards: The Overall male and female 5K champions will receive a medal or award.
⏰ Event Schedule
- Dec 10: T-shirt guarantee ends.
- Dec 13: Registration fee increases $5 through event start.
- Dec 19: Pre-reg bib and shirt pickup from 1-4 pm at the Lodge next to the dog park and paddle courts at Waveny Park.
- Event Day: Pre-reg pickup starts at 7:30 am, Santa Dash at 8:45 am, and the 5K starts at 9:00 am.
🚗 Parking Information
Absolutely plenty of parking is available nearby!
💖 Donations Welcome
- Open Donations: All amounts are welcome to help us purchase and pack 100,000 meals!
- No Postponement: There is no postponement or make-up day if weather forces park/town closures.
- No Refunds: We cannot refund any amount: all materials, shirts, etc., will have been purchased.
- Mission Statement: All proceeds will be dedicated to our mission of our food packing event for the “Feed My Starving Children” organization.
🏃 Course Info
Our 5k course will be run in the opposite direction this year. The one-mile walk will be the same as in the past.
