This Halloween, the gates to the underworld creak open… and you’re invited in.

Descend 650 feet below the earth’s surface and race through the shadowy tunnels of a real salt mine, lit by flickering lanterns and eerie candlelight, every twist and turn feels like a step deeper into the unknown…

Join us on October 31st at 8:00 AM for Strataca’s Annual 5K Monster Dash: Underworld Awakening, where the air is chillingly still, shadows stretch along the salt walls, and you never quite know what’s lurking just beyond your light.

Costume Contest

🦇: Come in costume and embrace your place among the creatures of the underworld!

• Dress Up: Whether you’re a classic vampire, crypt keeper, or something entirely unearthly, the most fang-tastic looks may earn a devilishly good surprise.

Race Requirements

🩸: This isn’t your average 5K…

• Gear Up: You’ll need a helmet (bike helmets work great) and a light source — headlamps or flashlights are highly recommended to guide your way through the underground darkness.
• Safety Check: Helmets are required and will be inspected by staff before entry.

Registration & Medals

⚠️ Please Note:

• Limited Edition: The first 200 runners to register will receive a limited-edition Monster Dash T-shirt and a Finisher Medal.
• Medal Limit: Once the 200 medal limit is reached, additional registrations will not include a medal.
• T-shirt Availability: T-shirt sizes may be limited after the first 200 registrants and will be distributed first-come, first-served at check-in.

Important Details

• Age Restrictions: No one under 8 may enter. Ages 8–17 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Heat Selection: Select your starting heat when registering — limited to 30 participants per heat.
• Race Options: Run or walk, but walkers should choose an earlier heat. Anyone still on the course at 12:00 PM will be escorted to the finish.
• Timing: This is a fun run, clocks will be located at the start and finish for self-timing.
• Arrival: Arrive at least 15 minutes before your heat to pick up your race packet. Late arrivals may be moved to the final heat.
