Buffalo Stampede 5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: Join us for the 17th Annual BUFFALO STAMPEDE 5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run designed for runners of ALL ages!
• Certification: These Chrono timed races use disposable bib tags on USATF Certified courses benefitting the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History.
• Timing: All Sports Timing is conducting the race, and race results will be available at www.allsportstiming.com.
• Location: 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Brazos Center, Bryan, TX.

🌳 Course Details

• Route: The 5K course is gently rolling, scenic, relatively flat, fast, and takes you through open country and past neighborhoods and parks.
• Finish: It has a downhill finish and offers you a great chance for a PR and a tune-up for marathons.
• Cheer Stations: Two Cheer Stations will be along the route to encourage you, with prizes for the first two to sign up.
• Map: A course map is available on our website.

🎉 Post-Race Events

• Trophies: Fabulous 5K Race custom trophies and medals in all age groups, and finisher medals for both races.
• Refreshments: There will also be delicious post-race refreshments after the race.
• Activities: After the race, enjoy Boonville Days, a heritage festival with booths of frontier skills, art, and music.
• Free Entry: Festive Boonville Days activities are from 9-4 inside and outside the Museum and are free to runners and their families.

🕒 Race Schedule

• Start Times: 5K - 7:30 am: 1 Mile Fun Run - 7:45 am.
• Registration: Runners' packets and late registration will be available on October 16 and 17 at the Museum.
• Race Day: Packets may also be picked up on race day beginning at 6:00 am. Race Day registrations will be accepted from 6:00-7:00 am.
• Online Registration: Closes October 17 at 5 pm: paper registration is available through race day.

🅿️ Parking and Directions

• Access: The entrance to the Brazos Center from Briarcrest will be closed. Enter the Museum's parking lot from the back of the Target shopping center.

• Fees: Entry fees are non-refundable: NO exceptions.

🏆 Awards and Ceremonies

• Overall Awards: Unique buffalo sculpture trophies for overall male and female finishers in the 5K.
• Age Group: First, second, and third place awards are given in the 5K for each 10-year age group.
• Medals: Age-group awards will be buffalo head trophies for first place and custom buffalo medals for second and third places.
• Award Ceremony: 5K Awards will be presented at 9 am (sooner if all runners are in).

📣 Cheer Stations

• Encouragement: Friends and family can create a cheer station to cheer you on the course.
• Sign-Up: The first two to sign up will receive $150 each, and all entries receive free t-shirts and snacks!

👕 T-Shirts

• Included: All registrants will receive a T-shirt, with sizes guaranteed by race day only for registrations made by October 1.
• Additional Purchase: You may purchase an additional race t-shirt for $18 until October 18 as supplies last.
• Availability: Call to see if we have extras available after that date.

☔ Weather Policy

• Event Status: The event will be held RAIN or SHINE!
• Refund Policy: If the event is cancelled due to dangerous weather, entry fees will NOT be refunded.

🚫 Course Regulations

• Allowed: Strollers are allowed.
• Prohibited: No skateboards, bicycles, other devices with wheels, or dogs will be allowed on the course with runners.
