Saturday, November 1st, 2025
We've kept you waiting long enough, but we're ready to hit the ground running for our 6th Annual Gardner Health Services Día de los Muertos Run-Walk. Join us on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 8:30am along the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose, CA. This fundraising event and health initiative brings together patients, clients, staff, and the community in celebration of life, health, and the lives of those we love eternally. Join us as we raise funds to help children and families – who can't afford medical insurance – get free care!
The event will feature a family-friendly 5K and 10K run-walk route, music, entertainment, and a health resource fair.
This year we will host El Desfile de Catrinas (Catrina Procession). Learn more about the history and meaning of Catrinas and enjoy a parade showcasing its beauty and culture. Participants and their families are welcome to walk in the parade at 8:00am before the race. More information to come with details and how to sign up. If you have any questions, please email ceszavala@gfhn.org.
Show us your best Día de los Muertos spirit and come in masks, colorful makeup, and costumes (catrinas, calaveras, etc.). Or, wear the race shirt given at packet pick-up.
Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of a passed loved one, flowers, etc. for our giant ofrenda on display (no glass or open flames).
