Gardner Health Services 2025 Día de los Muertos Run-Walk

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

We've kept you waiting long enough, but we're ready to hit the ground running for our 6th Annual Gardner Health Services Día de los Muertos Run-Walk. Join us on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 8:30am along the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose, CA. This fundraising event and health initiative brings together patients, clients, staff, and the community in celebration of life, health, and the lives of those we love eternally. Join us as we raise funds to help children and families – who can't afford medical insurance – get free care!

The event will feature a family-friendly 5K and 10K run-walk route, music, entertainment, and a health resource fair.

🎉 El Desfile de Catrinas

This year we will host El Desfile de Catrinas (Catrina Procession). Learn more about the history and meaning of Catrinas and enjoy a parade showcasing its beauty and culture. Participants and their families are welcome to walk in the parade at 8:00am before the race. More information to come with details and how to sign up. 📝 Registration Includes

• Race Entry: Entrance to the event.
• Bib and Timing Chip: For accurate timing and identification.
• Finisher's Medal: Celebrate your accomplishments.
• Día de los Muertos Tech Shirt: Special edition race shirt.

• Friday, October 31, 2025: 10:00am - 7:00pm | 1621 Gold St., San Jose, CA 95002
• Saturday, November 1, 2025: 7:00am - 7:45am | 1621 Gold St., San Jose, CA 95002

🎭 What to Wear

Show us your best Día de los Muertos spirit and come in masks, colorful makeup, and costumes (catrinas, calaveras, etc.). Or, wear the race shirt given at packet pick-up.

🌼 La Ofrenda

Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of a passed loved one, flowers, etc. for our giant ofrenda on display (no glass or open flames).

• All items: Should be placed on the ofrenda by 7:30am.
• Photos: Should be 5″ x 7″ or smaller.
• Pick Up: Please pick up photo/items before leaving venue. All items left at the end of the event will be discarded.
