Race Description
Get ready to light up the night! As part of the Frontier Day Festival in Plainview, AR, we're excited to introduce the Starlight Stampede, a 5K Glow Run. This unique night run is the perfect way to kick off a weekend of fun and celebration.
Schedule
- Kids Fun Run: Starts at 6:30 PM
- 5K Race: Starts at 7:00 PM CST
- Check-in: 4:45 PM - 6:45 PM
- Same Day Registration: Available for $40 from 4:45 PM - 6:15 PM
Awards
Awards will be given for the top 3 male and female runners and walkers. Age awards will also be presented for the following categories:
- 0-9
- 10-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
- 80+
About Frontier Day
Frontier Day is a cherished Plainview tradition that celebrates the town's history and brings the community together. Originally started in the 1980s and revived in 2007, the festival was brought back to life again in 2023 by the Plainview AR Community Events (PACE).
This year, we're making the festival even bigger and better! Frontier Day will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 and features extended hours and new events. The day begins with our annual parade, followed by a wide variety of activities, including mobile cafes, shopping vendors, and games for the whole family. The festivities continue into the evening with a live concert by Hill Street Blues from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
