21st Annual Run to Read Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Double out and back on 2 rail trails. The first section is about 5 miles long, is paved & goes through the historic & restored Meredith Tunnel. The second trail is on crushed limestone & has a scenic view of the Monongahela River.

👕 Registration Details

• Tech Shirts: Long sleeve tech shirts if registered by Dec 6th 2024.
• Availability: A very limited number of shirts may be available for same-day registration, so please pre-register online or via mail.
• Finisher Memento: All finishers will get a nice custom finisher memento!

• Videos: Hour long videos from the 2009 race & the 2013 race are on You Tube.
• Updates: Race news is posted on Facebook.
• Awards: Awards presented as runners finish.
• Post-Race Food: Lots of post-race food available.

• Start Time: Convenient 1pm start time.
• Series: First race in MAGP race series.
• Timing: Chip timing by Miles of Smiles Timing Services.
• Results: Results will be posted on smileymiles.com.

📚 Beneficiary

Event benefits Literacy Volunteers of Marion County (LVMC), a United Way agency & a 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity. LVMC facilitates free one on one tutoring in a friendly, confidential setting. Tutoring is provided for both adults and children in reading, math & English as a second language (ESL).

🗓️ Race Day Details

• Registration: Same-day registration and packet pickup begin at 11:30am on race day!
• Pre-Meeting: Pre-race meeting 12:50pm at the starting line directly below the church on the hill.
