Honoring Donnie. Fueling Second Chances.
Hosted by The Donnie Baumann Foundation
We run in memory of Donnie Baumann — a devoted family man, athlete, and Miami neighbor who lost his life to fentanyl poisoning. We run to carry forward his spirit of kindness, and to stand with every individual fighting addiction. Donnie’s story reminds us that substance use is not a moral failure—it’s a mental health issue that affects families, friends, and communities. We believe in compassion over shame, and second chances over judgment. Every step we take carries hope onward.
This is our inaugural Run for Recovery 5K—held on what would have been Donnie’s 60th birthday. Come out and celebrate Donnie while helping carry his legacy forward with hope and unity. This family-friendly event welcomes all ages and abilities. Expect a morning filled with community spirit, music, movement, and resources for healing.
Every gift—no matter the size—becomes a tangible step toward recovery and possibility.
Together, we race toward compassion. We race toward recovery. We honor Donnie’s life by supporting men finding theirs again. Thank you for running with us—and for running toward recovery.
