Run The Town Pink 5K

Join Us for a 5K with a Colorful Twist!

This local 5K may follow a familiar format—but with a vibrant splash of Pink! Runners are encouraged to wear as much pink as they’d like to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness. The scenic course winds along the shores of First Street Beach and through downtown Manistee, starting and finishing near the Manistee Municipal Marina.

Event Timing and Details

• Timing: Please note, this is currently an unofficially timed event.
• Clock: There will be a clock at the start/finish line.
• Finishing Medal: Runners who complete the race will receive a finishing medal.
• Awards: There will be no age group awards.

Registration Fees

• Adults: $30
• Students: $10 for ages 18 and under.
• Discount: Discount applied at checkout.

1 Mile Remembrance Walk

• Support: Wear pink to show your support and help us turn the town pink.
• Registration Fee: The Registration Fee does NOT apply to the 1 Mile Walk.

Pre-Race Ceremony

The ceremony will feature a moving prayer led by our Chaplain, paying tribute to those who are fighting, have survived, or have lost their battle with cancer. The race and walk will then begin at the same time from the same location.

Packet/Bib Pickup

• Race Day: Bibs can be picked up starting at 8:00am until 8:45am.
• Same-Day Registration: Registration will remain open until the race begins to include same-day signups.
• Friday Pickup: Bibs can also be picked up on October 2nd from 3pm until 6pm at the Manistee Municipal Marina.
• Marina Location: 480 River Street, Manistee, MI, 49660.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun—just don’t forget to wear pink!

Why We're Doing This

Paint the Town Pink is one of Manistee County's most beloved community traditions — a chance to come together and honor those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. This event has raised awareness for breast health and celebrated the strength of patients, survivors, and the families who support them.

Impact on the Community

Thanks to community support over the years, Paint the Town Pink has helped bring meaningful resources to our region, including:

• 3D digital mammography equipment
• A breast biopsy chair
• Enhancements to breast health services and education at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital
