Run The Town Pink 5K

Join Us for a 5K with a Colorful Twist!

This local 5K may follow a familiar format—but with a vibrant splash of Pink! Runners are encouraged to wear as much pink as they’d like to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness. The scenic course winds along the shores of First Street Beach and through downtown Manistee, starting and finishing near the Manistee Municipal Marina.

Event Details

• Date: October 3, 2026
• Location: 480 River Street, Manistee, MI
• Timing: This is currently an unofficially timed event.
• Finishing medal: Runners will receive a medal but no age group awards.

Registration Fees

$30 for adults, $10 for students aged 18 and under. - Discount applied at checkout.

1 Mile Remembrance Walk

• Wear Pink: To show your support and help us turn the town pink with love and awareness.
• Registration Fee: The Registration Fee does NOT apply to the 1 Mile Walk.

Pre-Race Ceremony

The ceremony will feature a moving prayer led by our Chaplain, paying tribute to those who are fighting, have survived, or have lost their battle with cancer. The race and walk will then begin at the same time from the same location.

Packet/Bib Pickup

• Race Day Pickup: Bibs can be picked up starting at 8:00am until 8:45am.
• Early Pickup: Bibs can be picked up on October 2nd from 3pm until 6pm at the Manistee Municipal Marina.
• Location: Manistee Municipal Marina, 480 River Street, Manistee, MI, 49660.
• Personalize: Feel free to decorate your bib with any names, memories, or any other designs.

Encouragement for Spectators

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun—just don’t forget to wear pink!

Why We're Doing This

Paint the Town Pink is one of Manistee County's most beloved community traditions — a chance to come together and honor those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. For over a decade, this event has raised awareness for breast health and celebrated the strength of patients, survivors, and the families who support them.

Thanks to community support over the years, Paint the Town Pink has helped bring meaningful resources to our region, including:

• Equipment: 3D digital mammography equipment.
• Facilities: A breast biopsy chair.
• Enhancements: To breast health services and education at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.

We gather not just to give — but to recognize, remember, and recommit to the importance of breast health in our community.
