ORRRC Gift Exchange 5k

Event Overview

This fun low-key event is not your everyday ORRRC race. The Gift Exchange 5k is a fun way to celebrate the holidays through running. Instead of an entry fee, all participants are to bring a wrapped gift (valued around $10). At the end of the race, we will have a giant gift exchange (hence the name of the race) among all participants.

Race Details

• Race Start: 10:00 a.m.
• Location: Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering, OH 45420.

Registration

Registration is available to all through RunSignup prior to the race. Online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before race start and can be done in-person at the race. Hard copy registration sheets are also available on race day if needed. Minors may be registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian or in-person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.

Check-In

All participants must check-in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one of their shoes. Look for the table with the green tablecloth to get your chip.

We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm-up prior to the race start.

Entry Fees

There are no traditional entry fees for this race. Instead of an entry fee, all participants are to bring a wrapped gift valued around $10 to be entered in the gift exchange.

Awards

All participants will receive a gift as part of the gift exchange. Overall male and overall female winners will receive a special gift in addition to the exchange gift. Please note: do not bring alcoholic beverages or adult gifts to this race – this is a family-friendly event and children may receive your gift during the exchange.

Animal Policy

Due to our insurance coverage, animals are not permitted at any ORRRC event. The only exception is service dogs, which must be clearly identified. Persons with any other animals will be removed from the event (will not be issued a timing chip, and will not appear in results or photos). We thank you in advance for your cooperation!
