ORRRC Gift Exchange 5k

Event Overview

This fun low-key event is not your everyday ORRRC race. The Gift Exchange 5k is a fun way to celebrate the holidays through running. Instead of an entry fee, all participants are to bring a wrapped gift (valued around $10). At the end of the race, we will have a giant gift exchange (hence the name of the race) among all participants.

• When: Saturday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m.

• Venue: Kettering Recreation Complex
• Address: 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering, OH 45420

Registration

• Pre-Registration: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration to receive your chip on race day.
• Minors: may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver (Online through RunSignup or the registration sheet at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.
• Race Day Registration: available online until approximately 15 minutes before race start time: hard copy registration sheets also available if needed.
• Recommendations: We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, register, and warm-up prior to the race start.

Fees

• Entry Fees: There are no traditional entry fees for this race.
• Gift Requirement: All participants are to bring a wrapped gift valued around $10 to be entered in the gift exchange.

Awards

• Participant Gifts: All participants will receive a gift as part of the gift exchange.
• Winners: Overall male and overall female winners will receive a special gift in addition to the exchange gift.
• Family-Friendly: Please note: do not bring alcoholic beverages or adult gifts to this race – this is a family-friendly event and children may receive your gift during the exchange.
