About this race
Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2026, at Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area for the 8th Annual Colorado Run for the Fallen—an up to 6-hour untimed run/walk/ruck hosted by the Honor and Remember – Colorado Chapter. This moving tribute honors over 450 Colorado military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice since the start of the Global War on Terror.
Event Overview:
This is not a race—there are no chips, no clocks, and no pressure. Participants are not required to participate for a specific amount of time. Whether you move 1 mile or all 6 hours, your presence honors a fallen hero. Each mile is dedicated to an individual service member. Their name, rank, and date of loss are called in tribute, followed by a moment of remembrance before the run continues. ceremonial salute.
“Every step we take, every name we speak, is a promise to never forget.” – George Lutz, Founder of Honor and Remember
All participants receive an event t-shirt. An aid station will be available with water, electrolytes, and snacks.
