Join us on Green Oaks Golf Course for our second annual fun run/walk 5K!
🎓 Fundraiser Purpose
- Support: This year the Divot Dash will be the main fundraiser for the Art Serafinski Scholarship Fund.
- Community: Ypsilanti Township prides itself on being a community of opportunity.
- Scholarship Name: The scholarship is named in honor of former longtime director Art Serafinski.
- Opportunity: Provides youth recreation opportunities with our department.
👶 Scholarship Details
- Eligibility: This scholarship is need-based and designed to allow children up to age 17.
- Discount: Eligible children can participate in recreation classes and leagues at a discounted rate.
- Aid: Recipients will receive 50% off their registration fees and up to $250 in aid per child per calendar year.
- Impact: Aimed at ensuring children have access to recreational activities.
🏅 Race Experience
- Course: You will make your way around the course passing fairways, bunkers, ponds, and greens.
- Management: The event will be timed by A2 Race Management.
- Participants: Ideal for competitive runners or those wanting to walk/run with family and friends.
- Conditions: The race will be held rain or shine.
🎉 Post-Race Celebration
- Medals: Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age category.
- DJ: A DJ will be on site for an after-run celebration.
- Food Options: After the race, music and food trucks will be available in the finishing area.
- Chili Cook-off: Food trucks will be competing in a Chili Cook-off for an additional fee.
🕖 Race Day Details
- Registration: Race Day Registration opens at 7:00 AM with the race starting at 8:00 AM.
- Pricing: Register early to avoid price bumps! Pre-Aug 15 = $25, Aug 16-Sept 20 = $30, after Sept 20 = $35.
- Shirts: Shirts guaranteed for those who register prior to September 20. Shirts for those registering after will be subject to availability.
