🏃‍♂️ Challenge Format

• Participation: Open to the general public
• Types of Activities: Run, walk, bike, hike, swim, or ski
• Duration: One day or throughout the eight-day period from March 7-14, 2026
• High School JROTC: Complete by April 9, 2026

• Included Items: 100% cotton Comfort Colors t-shirt
• Additional Items: Wooden nickel, race bib, window decal
• Win Prizes: Opportunity to win swag from the Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon
• Swag Items: T-shirts, water glasses, shot glasses, medallions, etc.

💰 Fundraising Efforts

• Goal: Raise $19,420 in 2026
• Past Success: First five challenges raised $126,436.34 for scholarships
• Beneficiaries: Clemson University Military Affiliated student organizations
• Details: Donations assist in participation in the Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon

🎖️ Historical Significance

• POW History: Six Clemson alumni became POWs on April 9, 1942
• Bataan Death March: Notorious event in WWII history
• Conditions: Thousands died from starvation and harsh treatment
• Survivor: Colonel Skardon, last living member of this group, walked in 12 Bataan Memorial Death Marches
