🏃‍♂️ Description

• Event Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series honors Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who died on September 11, 2001.
• Foundation Support: It supports families of catastrophically wounded and killed first responders and veterans through mortgage-free homes.
• Homelessness Initiative: The Foundation aims to eradicate homelessness among veterans by providing housing assistance.

🏁 Event Details

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). You are welcome to walk or run this event.
• Registration Timing: The best time to register is RIGHT NOW: prices increase as the event approaches.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit. All are welcome!
• Parking: Please carpool if you can: parking is available in the lots around Woodley Park.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Early packet pick-up will be announced closer to the event.
• Event Day Pickup: Packet pickup will also be available on the day of the event.
• Proxy Pickup: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet for you.
• Bib Number: Please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment: runners without a bib will not finish.

• Hydration: Water will be available at the start/finish: please hydrate before the event.
• Food Availability: Local food trucks and vendors will provide food at the event.

• Allowed Items: Strollers, wheelchairs, and backpacks are allowed: no roller blades, bicycles, or pets.

💖 Fundraising and Donations

• Fundraising: After registration, create your own fundraising page.
• Registration Fee: Fees help offset costs, but fundraising helps further the mission.

• Use of Funds: All funds raised will support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation programs.
