Patriots Run 5K

🇺🇸 Race Overview

The Patriot’s Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Red Tail Pavilion, Oak Point Park in Plano—home of the Plano Flags of Honor.

🎖️ Event Schedule

• Presentation of Colors: The morning begins with a Presentation of Colors by Allen High School MCJROTC and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Congressman Keith Self.
• Warm-Up: Enjoy a 7:30 AM warm-up session.
• 1-Mile Fun Run: The Fun Run starts at 8:00 AM.
• 5K Run: The main race begins at 8:30 AM: wheeled participants will have a 5 minute head start.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

After the race, enjoy a community celebration featuring awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony.

❤️ Mission and Proceeds

• Honoring Service: Run, walk, ride or cheer—every step honors those who served and celebrates the freedom they defended.
• Support for Veterans: Proceeds from the event help fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts.
• VFW Mission: The funds uphold the VFW’s mission of service to veterans, their families, and our nation.
