Patriots Run 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Patriot’s Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Red Tail Pavilion, Oak Point Park in Plano—home of the Plano Flags of Honor.

🎖️ Race Schedule

• Presentation of Colors: Led by Allen High School MCJROTC.
• Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Congressman Keith Self.
• Warm-up: 7:30 AM.
• 1-Mile Fun Run: Starts at 8:00 AM.
• 5K Run: Starts at 8:30 AM. Wheeled participants will have a 5 minute head start.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

After the race, enjoy a community celebration featuring awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony.

❤️ Purpose of the Event

Run, walk, ride or cheer—every step honors those who served and celebrates the freedom they defended.

💰 Support for Veterans

Proceeds from the event help fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts that uphold the VFW’s mission of service to veterans, their families, and our nation.
