Purpose and Benefits

Race Details

• Aircraft Display: Numerous aircraft including airplanes and helicopters will be on display.
• Helicopter Rides: Available for a fee during the event.
• Unique Course: Races take place on the actual runway, closed for the event.
• Fast Racing: Expect exciting competition, food trucks, and various aviation activities!

Plymouth Runway Mile

• Start Time: 9:00 am
• Course Overview: One-mile course starting by the main airport building.
• Chip Timing: Competitive race with awards: strollers welcome.
• Finish Line Closure: Closes at 9:30 am with awards immediately after.

Plymouth Runway 5K

• Start Time: 10:00 am
• Course Description: Participants cut around hangars before running on the runway.
• Awards: Overall and age group awards given, no finisher medals.
• Finish Line Closure: Closes at 11:00 am (19:19/mile pace).

Plymouth Runway Challenge

• Challenge Registration: Compete in both races at a discounted rate.
• Custom Medal: Finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.
• Awards Eligibility: Finishers are eligible for awards in individual races.
• Time Limits: Must finish both races within designated times to receive the medal.

Awards

• Cash Prizes: $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, $25 for 3rd in each race.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 finishers in each age group for both races.
• Age Groups: Includes age groups from 8 & under to 80+.
• Exclusion: Overall award finishers are excluded from age group awards.

Registration

• Method: Registration through RunSignup only.
• Deadline: Closes 15 minutes prior to each race start.
• Shirt Sizes: Guaranteed with registration by May 31.
• Pricing: Varies by race type and registration date.

Packet Pickup

• Date: Friday, June 12th from 3-6pm and Saturday, June 13th from 7:00 am.
• Bib Pickup: Available for others: no race bibs after race starts.
• Shirt Pickup: Shirts can still be picked up post-race bib pickup.
• Location: At the airport on the respective days.

Parking Information

• Friday Parking: Available at the airport.
• Saturday Parking: At Plymouth High School with shuttle service.
• Shuttle Service: Runs from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm.
• Distance: Shuttle drive takes approximately 7 minutes.

Refund Policy

• Full Refund: Available until May 31, minus processing fees.
• No Refunds: After June 1: no refunds for weather cancellations.
• Fundraising Purpose: Emphasis on supporting AlphaFlight.
• Exclusions: No refunds after registration deadlines.
