Walk for Dyslexia 2026

🌼 Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
• Location: Brittingham Park, 829 W Washington Ave, Madison, WI
• Time: In-person registration begins at 7:30 am and the 5K walk/fun run starts at 8:30 am
• Purpose: Benefit the Madison Area Children’s Dyslexia Center, offering free tutoring for children struggling with reading, writing, and spelling

🐶 Dog Policy

• Welcome: Dogs are welcome at Brittingham Park
• Leash Requirement: All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, maximum of 6 feet long
• Respect: We kindly request that you keep a close eye on your dog to ensure a pleasant experience for all participants

💻 Virtual Option

• Participate Remotely: Invite friends and family to join without traveling
• 5K Completion: Run a 5K around your neighborhood, at a local park, or track your steps over a few days (approximately 6,000 steps)
• Share Your Adventure: Send photos to KKuenzie@:cdcinc.org for sharing on our Facebook page

💰 Registration and Donation Fees

• Online Fee: An online registration fee is added to each registration and donation
• Mail Option: To avoid online fees, download the registration form and mail it before May 1, 2026
• Continuous Donations: Donations are accepted by mail at any time
• Fundraising Note: Encourage donors to include your name for tracking purposes

👥 Team Registration

• Form a Team: Grab friends, colleagues, and family to form a team
• Discount: Teams with five or more members receive a $5 discount on registration
• Refund: Discounts will be issued as a refund once the minimum team size is reached
• Join or Create: Click through the registration process to start or find an existing team
