Walk for Dyslexia 2026

🌷 Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
• Location: 829 W Washington Ave, Madison, WI
• Registration Time: In-person registration starts at 8:30 am
• Event Start: 5K walk/fun run begins at 9:30 am (NEW TIME FOR 2026!)

🏃‍♂️ Participation

• In-Person: Families and community members can gather in beautiful spring weather to make strides against dyslexia.
• Virtual Option: Invite out-of-town or state friends and family to run a 5K around your neighborhood or track steps over a few days.
• Dogs: Dogs are welcome at Brittingham Park, must be on a leash (non-retractable, max 6 feet).
• Respect: Please respect your fellow participants and keep a close eye on your dog.

💻 Registration & Donations

• Online Fees: An online registration fee applies to each registration and donation.
• Mail Registration: To avoid online fees, mail in registration or donations. Download the registration form and send it before May 1, 2026.
• Continuous Donations: Donations can be accepted by mail on an ongoing basis.
• Tracking Donations: Encourage donors to include a note with your name when tracking through a fundraiser.

👥 Teams

• Team Formation: Grab your friends, colleagues, and family to form a team!
• Discounts: All teams with five or more members receive a $5 discount on registration, refunded once the team minimum is met.
• Starting a Team: Click through the registration process to start your team.
• Finding Teams: If you want to join an existing team, click the menu above to find it.
