Join us on Oct 3rd for the Trail Run At Indian Lake!

Race Routes

• Short Route: 5.8KM
• Long Route: 10.5KM

Course Description

• Starting Point: The race starts in a beautifully restored sedge meadow in the wetlands surrounding Indian Lake.
• Glacial Features: Expect steeper slopes due to the Driftless Region as you traverse hills throughout the run.
• National Scenic Trail: A part of the route joins the Ice Age Trail National Scenic Trail.
• Ongoing Restoration: Reflect on Dane County Parks' plans to purchase 300 acres for further development.

SWAG

• Participant Options: Select a swag item from previous years, including TRAIL branded socks, gloves, and caps.
• Premium Merchandise: A small run of premium merch will be available for purchase on race morning.
• Past Items: Options include winter beanies and technical running t-shirts.
• Garage Clearance: Help us clear out the garage this year!

The T.R.A.I.L. is Cup-Free!

• Environmental Responsibility: We are going cup-free to reduce litter at our aid stations.
• Hydration Requirement: Bring your own cup, bottle, or bladder for hydration on-course.
• Water Stations: We will have water dispensers available to refill your containers.
• Zero-Waste Goal: This initiative is a step towards making our event more sustainable.

After Party

• Celebration: Join us for food, beverages, and awards.
• Live Music: The Currach Irish Trio will be headlining.
• Community Spirit: Celebrate the Fall and the beauty of trail running.

Schedule

• Race Week: Early packet pick-up at Movin' Shoes (date/time TBD). Location Link
• Oct 3rd: 7:30 AM - Race HQ opens for packet pick-up.
• Kids Run: 8:30 AM - Free Kids Run starts.
• Main Races: 9:00 AM - Long and Short race starts. Awards start at approximately 10:00 AM for the Short course and 10:30 AM for the Long course.

Support Public Lands

Join the Friends of Indian Lake for a celebration of Fall, trail running, community, and public lands! All proceeds support the Friends’ work with Dane County Parks to preserve and enhance Indian Lake County Park.
