Join us on Oct 3rd for the Trail Run At Indian Lake!

Race Routes

• Short Route: 5.8KM
• Long Route: 10.5KM

Course Description

• Starting Point: Beautifully restored sedge meadow in wetlands around Indian Lake.
• Terrain: Transition from prairie paths to trees, dirt, and hills.
• Unique Features: The course uses the steeper slopes characteristic of the Driftless Region.
• Route Highlight: Part of the Ice Age Trail National Scenic Trail.

SWAG

• Swag Selection: Participants can choose from various TRAIL branded items from previous years.
• Items Available: Running socks, lightweight gloves, winter beanies, trucker caps, short-brim caps, and technical running t-shirts.
• Premium Merchandise: A limited run of premium merch will be available for purchase on race morning.

The T.R.A.I.L. is Cup-Free!

• Environmental Initiative: To reduce impact, the race will not use single-use cups.
• Hydration Responsibility: Participants must bring their own cup/bottle/bladder for hydration.
• Water Dispensers: Available at aid stations for refilling personal hydration systems.
• Zero-Waste Goal: Aiming for minimal waste and better stewardship of public lands.

After Party

Celebrate Fall, trails, and Indian Lake with the Currach Irish Trio, food, beverages, and awards.

• Race Week: Early packet pick-up at Movin' Shoes (date/time TBD) - Movin' Shoes
• Date: Saturday, Oct 3rd
• 7:30 AM: Race HQ opens for packet pick-up
• 8:30 AM: Free Kids Run
• 9:00 AM: LONG & SHORT race start
• ~ 10:00 AM: Awards, Raffle, and Live Music for SHORT course
• ~ 10:30 AM: Awards, Raffle, and Live Music for LONG course

Join the Friends of Indian Lake for a celebration of Fall, trail running, community, and public lands! All proceeds support the Friends’ work with Dane County Parks to preserve and enhance Indian Lake County Park.
