5th Annual Pints And Paws 5K and 1 Mile Run Walk and Pup Strut

🏃‍♀️ Race Day Details

• On-site Registration: 7 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026.
• Online Registration Closed: Midnight Thursday, August 27th at Midnight.
• Vendor Registration Closes: Monday, August 17, 2026.
• Location: 2070 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

🐾 Event Information

• Race Type: A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.
• Packet Pickup: RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area.
• Donation Incentive: BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive an additional door prize ticket.
• Door Prize: Ticket will be drawn for a $25 Gift Card: please bring new items only: dog/cat food, treats, toys, litter, puppy pee pads, or gift cards.

⚠️ Dog Safety Guidelines

• Race Length: Consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt.
• Water Availability: Water for the dogs will be available at start/finish.
• Participation: Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.
• Leash Requirements: Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash: NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

🏁 Race Schedule

• 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut: Starts at 8:00 AM.
• 5K Start Time: 8:30 AM: runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT.
• Course Description: Follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area.
• Leash Policy: Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile and 5K events as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash: NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

📸 Pup Photo Contest

• Contest Timing: After the 1 Mile and 5K have finished.
• Entry Fee: $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet.
• Categories: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed.
• Awards: Each winner will receive a prize!

🎉 Participation Perks

• T-Shirt Guarantee: All participants who register by the deadline on August 25, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
• Finishers Medal: Available to the first 175 finishers.
• Food and Drinks: (1) Beer and (1 slice) of pizza included in registration: non-drinkers will receive a non-alcoholic beverage.
• Parking Information: Parking is available in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.

🏆 Awards Overview

• Human Awards 5K Run/Walk: Top three male and female overall and in various age categories.
• Human Awards 5K Competitive Walk: Male and Female Places 1st - 5th.
• 1 Mile Fun Run and Pup Strut: This will be an untimed event.
