Race Details

• Start Time: 8:30 AM (Opening Ceremony at 8:15 AM)
• Course: Starts at Lions Pavilion, proceeds down Park Avenue, returns along Park Avenue to the trail around the baseball fields and along the Leon River.
• Water Stations: There will be four (4) water stations during the run/walk.
• Snacks: Race snacks will be available upon return.

Awards and Timing

• Event Type: Timed event, timing by Pro-Fit Race Timing.
• Awards: Top overall male and female finishers, and top three male/female finishers in each age group. No duplicate awards.
• Age Groups: 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
• Costume Awards: Four (4) awards for People’s Choice costume.

Participant Information

• Registration Includes: Swag “Pirate’s Booty” Bag, Bib Raffle Entry, Custom Spinner Race Medal and/or Event Sunglasses (while supplies last).
• Costume: Come in Pirate Costume to compete for an award or come as you are!
• Eyeglass Collection: Bring your used eyeglasses for Texas Lions to recycle.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Event T-Shirt is guaranteed for full registrations if registered by September 17th.

Registration Fees

• Regular Fees (thru September 17): 5K - $35.00
• Regular Fees (after September 17): 5K - $40.00
• Discounted Rate: Registrants age 17 & under can register for $20.00. Free event t-shirt not available at discounted rate: t-shirts available for purchase.
• Packet Pick-Up: Early Packet Pick-up is encouraged at John Corsi State Farm Insurance, 100 Lake Road, Belton.

Race Day Schedule

• Early Packet Pick-Up: October 1st, 6-8 PM and October 2nd, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
• Race Day Registration: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM at the race site. Credit cards only: registration on personal devices (phone, iPad).
• Roadblocks: Set in place at 8:15 AM for runner safety: plan to arrive early and stay until removed.
• Strollers: Welcome on race day!
