17th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run/Walk

🎉 Event Overview

• Event Name: 17th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run
• Date: Saturday, December 13th, 2025
• Location: 1303 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA
• Course: Utilizes the Virginia Capital Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail, and Greensprings Trail. USATF Certified.

🏃‍♂️ Participation Options

• Run/Walk: 5K Run and a Competitive 5K Walk
• Virtual Race: Available for those unable to attend on race day: participants receive a race T and finisher medal.
• Packet Pickup: Available on Dec. 13th at Colonial Sports or by mail for a $9.00 fee.
• Proceeds: Benefit area youth in after school activities provided by the WJCC School Health Initiative Program (S.H.I.P.)

💖 Community Impact

• Donations: Funds raised will go to From His Hands, a consortium of 13 local churches missioned to feed the homeless.
• Engagement: The event raises funds to get students out and moving.
• Special Events: Ugly sweater contest and non-perishable food donation drive.
• Contest Time: Ugly Sweater contest at 11:15 AM.

💰 Registration Fees

• Pre-registration (by Oct 17, 2025): $35.00
• Students 18 and Under: $30.00 with ID
• Late Registration: $40.00 from Oct 19th to December 7th, $45.00 from December 8th.
• No Race Day Registration: $20.00 for 1 Mile Fun Run, $10.00 for T-Shirts Only.

📅 Event Schedule

• Early Packet Pickup: Friday, December 12th at Colonial Sports, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Race Day Packet Pickup: 8:00 AM
• 1 Mile Fun Run: 8:30 AM
• 5K Run/Walk: 9:00 AM

🏆 Awards

• Top Finishers: Top 3 Men and Women overall in the 5K Run and Competitive Walk.
• Masters Division: Top 3 Men and Women 40 years and over in the 5K Run.
• Age Groups: Top 3 Men and Women in 5K Run for age categories: 8 and under: 9-10: 11-13: 14-15: 16-19: and five-year increments from 20-24 to 80 and Over.
• Special Prize: "Middle of the Pack" Male and Female.

🌟 Finishing Medals

• Availability: Finishing medals for all finishers while supplies last.
