• Event Name: 17th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run

• Location: Jamestown High School, 3751 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, VA 23188
• Course: Utilizes the Virginia Capital Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail, and the Greensprings Trail

Race Details

• Type: 5K Run and Competitive 5K Walk
• Certification: The course is not currently USATF Certified
• Grand Prix Race: This is a 2025 Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix race
• Virtual Option: A virtual Sleighbell 5K is available for those who cannot make it on race day. Virtual participants receive a race T and finisher medal

Packet Pickup

• Date: Packets can be picked up on Dec. 13th at Colonial Sports or mailed for a $9.00 fee
• Early Packet Pickup: Friday, December 12th at Colonial Sports, 1303 Jamestown Road, from 12:00 PM (noon) to 6:00 PM
• Note: Last opportunity to register for this race
• Race T-shirt: Size guaranteed to those registered by 12/2/25. All others are first come first served

Charitable Contributions

• Beneficiaries: A portion of proceeds will benefit area Youth in after school activities provided by the WJCC School Health Initiative Program (S.H.I.P.)
• Mission: Donations will go to From His Hands! A consortium of 13 local churches whose mission is to feed the homeless
• Focus: This event raises funds to get students out and moving

Special Events

• Ugly Sweater Contest: Bring your ugliest sweater to the race and compete for a special prize. Contest at 11:15 AM
• Food Donations: Bring non-perishable food items such as canned goods and pasta to support From His Hands

Registration Fees

• $35.00: Pre-registered online or by mail before Oct 17, 2025
• $30.00: Pre-registered online or mail for Students 18 and Under or college student with ID
• $40.00: Registration increase from Oct 19th through December 7th
• $45.00: Registration increase December 8th, with no race day registration

• $20.00: 1 Mile Fun Run
• $10.00: T-Shirts Only

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top 3 Men and Women overall in the 5K Run and Competitive Walk
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 Men and Women in 5K Run for the following age groups: 8 and under: 9-10, 11-13: 14-15: 16-19: five year increments from 20-24 to 80 and Over
• Special Prize: “Middle of the Pack” Male and Female
• Finishing Medals: Finishing medals will be awarded to all finishers while supplies last
