🏁 Race Information

Please note: There are no refunds. If the live event cannot be held, registrations will be converted to the Virtual Race.

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: 2025-08-17
• Location: 801 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL
• Distance: Challenging 10K course and a 5K option
• Certification: USATF certified

👕 Registration

Abe's Amble also includes a 5K option in addition to the longstanding 10K distance. Register by Wednesday, July 20 to guarantee a race shirt! There will be NO extra shirts ordered!!!

🕒 Start Format

Races will begin in a traditional mass start format. The 10K and 5K will begin at 7:30am.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: Saturday, August 16th, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
• Location: Erin's Pavilion, Springfield, IL
• Shirt Availability: Attendees who registered by the t-shirt deadline will receive a shirt.
• Race Day Pickup: Limited race day pickup will be available at the fairgrounds from 6:30-7:15 a.m.

🍎 Finisher Area

There will be bottled water, bananas, and other refreshments in the finisher area.

📊 Race Results & Awards

• Text Notifications: Participants who opted in will receive a text message with their time shortly after finishing.
• Live Results: Results will stream live throughout the morning, available at: http://www.ItsRaceTime.com
• Awards: Categories for both 10K and 5K races: various age group awards.
• Post-Race Ceremony: Award winners will be recognized in a ceremony after the race.

🏅 Race Medals

Race medals will be provided at the finish line for those participating in the race. Medals are awarded for both the 10K and the 5K events.

🌐 Virtual Participants

*NEW THIS YEAR FOR 2025*-YOU MAY NOT REGISTER FOR A VIRTUAL RACE UNLESS YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING ON RACE DAY! If you choose this option, the race director will be in contact with you regarding your volunteer assignment!

Run or walk your 5k/10k whenever you choose! Beginning Monday after the race, you will be able to submit your time. Note: the link will not be available until that day. You can submit your results for 1 week following the opening date. Virtual participants will appear in the race results but are not eligible for age group awards. To submit your time, click and edit your results by name.

You are welcome to pick up your race packet on Saturday (details above). There will be no shipping for any virtual or live race participants.
