- No Refunds: There are no refunds. If the live event cannot be held, registrations will be converted to the Virtual Race.
Race Overview
- Course: This challenging 10K course is USATF certified.
- Distance Options: Abe's Amble includes a 10K and a 5K option.
- Registration Deadline: Register by Sunday, July 12 to guarantee a race shirt.
- Shirt Availability: There will be NO extra shirts ordered!
Start Format
- Mass Start: Races will begin in a traditional mass start format.
- Start Time: The 10K and 5K will begin at 7:30am.
Packet Pickup
- Date: Packet pickup will be held on Saturday August 22, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Location: Lincoln Park Pavilion, Springfield, IL (1601 N Fifth St)
- Expo: Enjoy the Expo with sponsors on hand and a pre-race photo opportunity!
- Shirt Distribution: Shirts will be distributed based on registration timing: no shirts for late registrants.
Finish Area
- Refreshments: Bottled water, bananas, and other refreshments will be available.
Race Results & Awards
- Results Notification: Participants who opted in will receive a text message with their time.
- Live Results: Results will stream live and be available at ItsRaceTime.com.
- Award Categories: Top Overall M/F and Masters M/F for both distances, plus top 3 M/F in age groups.
- Awards Ceremony: Award winners will be recognized in a post-race awards ceremony.
Race Medals
- Medal Distribution: Race medals will be provided at the finish line.
- Events: Medals are awarded for both the 10K and the 5K events.
Virtual Participants
- Participation: Run or walk your 5k/10k whenever you choose!
- Time Submission: Submit your time beginning Monday after the race for 1 week.
- Results Eligibility: Virtual participants will appear in race results but are not eligible for age group awards.
- Packet Pickup: You can pick up your race packet on Saturday as detailed above.
Important Note
- Illinois Senior Olympics: You are not eligible for Illinois Senior Olympics if you register for Virtual participation.
