Tear Drop Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Lace up your sneakers, lean forward and get ready for the 12th Annual Tear Drop Half Marathon! If you’re looking for a fast and scenic half marathon then join us on Sunday, April 26, 2025!

🏞️ Course Details

• Start Location: Courses start on Fort Mountain at an elevation near 3000 feet and finish in Chatsworth, Georgia.
• Elevation Drop: Over 2000-foot drop for the Half Marathon.
• Certification: All courses (13.1, 10K, 5K) are USAT&F certified.
• Terrain: All paved roads with 7 miles of 5-10% grade downhill for the Half Marathon.

🎽 Event Extras

• Finisher Medals: Beautiful CUSTOM medals for all event finishers.
• T-Shirts: Every participant will receive a short sleeve t-shirt.
• Post-Race Food: Live music, hot food, and cold drinks available: beer for 21 and over participants!
• Raffle Prizes: Exciting raffle prizes for all participants!

🕖 Race Schedule

• Start Times: 7:30 am for Half Marathon, 7:50 am for 10K, 8:05 am for 5K.
• Parking: Runners park at the finish with private shuttles to the start.
• Finish Location: City Park - 401 N. 2nd Ave Chatsworth GA 30705.
• Shuttle Availability: Buses will start at 6:00 am making multiple trips from City Park to Fort Mountain.

🚍 Registration and Pickup

• No Race Day Registration: Must sign up online by Saturday or before sells out.
• Pickup Times: Saturday, 4/25 from 2 pm until 5 pm, and Sunday, 4/26 from 6:00 am-7:00 am for the Half, 7-8am for the 10K/5K.
• Location: City Park Pavilion for bib and t-shirt pickup.
• Changing Distances: You can change online until midnight 4/25 or in person at pickup.

🚰 Hydration and Restrooms

• Water Stations: 4 for the Half, 2 for the 10K, and 1 for the 5K.
• Bathrooms: Available at start areas and at designated water stations.
• Encouragement: We encourage you to carry your own hydration if needed.
• Trash Disposal: Garbage cans placed .25 miles from tables for empty bottles and wrappers.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a beautiful medal!
• Age Group Awards: Available for the Half, 10K, and 5K.
• Overall Winners: Plaques for overall winners in the Half marathon only.
• Placement Check: Go to the scorer table at the finish line to check your award eligibility.

🍔 Food, Drink, and Entertainment

• Post-Race Meal: Hot dogs, veggie dogs, mac-n-cheese, baked beans, salty snacks, fruit, and bottled water.
• Beer: Cold beer for 21 and over participants.
• Live Music: Enjoy live music from 9 am to 11 am in the park.

🎨 Charity Partnership

Our charity partner is Murray Arts Council, which provides most of the volunteers on race day. Thank you to those who have donated! Together we’ve raised over $10,000 for local arts and live performances in the Chatsworth area.

💡 Additional Information

If you have someone dropping you off at the start of the half marathon, they can do so between 6:30-7:15 am, but they must leave the area immediately. All vehicles should park at the finish area near City Park. No personal drop-off for 10K or 5K.
