Event Purpose
- Community Impact: In January of 2026, the running community in Dalton, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina lost a vibrant person with a passion for running, Lance Sotelo.
- Tragic Loss: He was tragically hit and killed while on a run.
- Legacy Continuation: His family has decided to continue his legacy of perseverance, acceptance, and love through a non-profit called Lance's Legacy.
- Scholarship Offering: At Lance's Legacy, we want to offer scholarships to high school and collegiate runners who exhibit the same perseverance, acceptance, and love exhibited by Lance.
Event Details
- First Annual: We will be hosting the first annual Lance's Legacy 5K and Fun Run on Lance's birthday.
- Honor Lance: Join us in honoring his legacy and raising funds to support athletes and offer scholarships.
