Race Overview

• Registration: Registration is open for our July 4th tradition.
• Course: Run this flat and fast point to point 5k thru the closed streets of Alameda.
• Start Time: We will be starting again at 8:30am to provide ample space before the Parade.
• Purpose: This run benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda and kicks off our historic Island Parade.

Shuttle Service

• Success: The shuttle service was a great success during the 250th celebration.
• Expansion: We will be adding more routes in 2027 from the race finish back to the start.
• Cost: Free of charge for all participants.
• Running Time: Shuttle will run from 9am - 1pm with priority to runners with BIBS.

Packet Pick-up

• Dates: 7/1 thru 7/3 at Laurens Closet, 1420 Park St, Alameda. Hours 10:00am - 5:00pm.
• Race Day: 7/4 Race morning registration opens at 7:30am at La Penca Restaurant, 1440 Park St, Alameda.
• Location: Corner of Santa Clara.

Race Day Details

• Start Location: 1420 Park St, Alameda, CA 94501.
• Packet Pick-up: Begins at 7:30am.
• Race Start: 8:30am.
• Finish Location: 1526 Webster St, Alameda, CA 94501 (Tues/Saturday Farmers Market Location).

Community Involvement

• BIB Timing: This race is BIB timed but we will have no age group awards this year.
• Finisher Gear: Expect great finisher shirts and custom medals.
• SWAG: Receive some "run the island" SWAG at the finish.

Event Expo

• Local Businesses: Our expo will feature the best of local businesses focused on health and longevity.
• Beer Garden: Sponsored by Faction Brewery.
