Race Overview
- Event Type: Naked-Snap Dragon style race.
- Age Requirement: This is an 18 and up event.
- Date and Time: 2026-10-17 at 10am.
- Location: 6122 Route H, Noel, MO.
Race Format
- Laps: We will run .86 mile laps around Sunset Mountain on the Snap Dragon trail.
- Elimination: The last person to finish each lap will be out.
- Time Limit: Each lap will be limited to 12 minutes.
- Continuous Racing: We will run until there is only 1 person left.
Terrain Description
- Challenge Level: This is an extremely aggressive running trail.
- Distance: I can only run this .86 miles in about 8 minutes.
- Terrain Features: The terrain is unforgiving loose gravel with massive downhills.
- Elevation Gain: Approximately 215' in elevation gain from the starting gate.
Event Details
- Entry Fee: Each paid for entry is good for entrance to Sunset Mountain on race day for two people.
- Funding: This is our annual fundraising event: there are no age group prizes or extra awards.
- Winner Recognition: The winner will get their name burned into our wooden dragon displayed at the pickleball court.
- Photo Opportunity: Anyone participating in the Snap Dragon is welcome to have their picture made with the dragon.
