🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the Veterans Day 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run in honor of our nation’s veterans. This event is a wonderful opportunity to get active and show your patriotism. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a leisurely walk, we have something for everyone!

📅 Event Schedule

• 8:00 AM: Race Day Check-in: Pick up your race bib.
• 8:45 AM: Veteran Tribute: National Anthem and Flag Ceremony
• 9:00 AM: 5K Race Starts: A timed event for more competitive runners or anyone aiming for a personal best.
• 9:15 AM: 1 Mile Fun Run Starts: Perfect for families, beginners, or anyone just looking for a fun, low-pressure event.
• 9:45 AM: Awards Ceremony: Join us for the presentation of awards to the top finishers in 5K race categories of students and adults 19+, both male and female. Also, a prize will be awarded for the Most Patriotic Outfit.

🏞️ Course Details

• 5K Race: A fast and flat 5K course perfect for runners of all levels. The route will take you through scenic Riverview Park, running the Full Loop Trail twice. Enjoy views of this natural wetland area as you race for time or personal achievement.
• 1 Mile Fun Run: A flat, scenic course through Riverview Park, using the Northern Loop Trail. Participants can walk, jog, or run. It’s all about having fun while supporting a great cause!

📝 Registration

Standard registration prices by 11/3/2025. $5 price increase on 11/4/2025. Registration closes 11/10/2025.

• 5K Race: $35 (Participants receive commemorative medal)
• 1 Mile Fun Run: $15 (Participants receive a participation ribbon)

🎖️ Military/Veteran and Student Discount

All veterans, active-duty military personnel, and students get a $10 discount for the 5K run.

🚗 Parking, Toilets & Water

If the parking lot is full, please be courteous as you park in the neighborhood, and do not block driveways. A porta-potty will be on the premises. There will not be a water station on the course, but there will be water bottles and snacks at the finish.

💰 Proceeds

$5 from each paid participant will be donated to Nation's Finest. The remaining proceeds will benefit Carson High Safe Grad in support of the safe and sober celebration offered to graduating seniors.
