Chase the Shadow is a free, untimed fun run/walk/roll that is open to participants of all fitness levels. The event is scheduled for 2026-05-03 at West Swinney Park, Fort Wayne, IN. For more details, visit the official page.

🔍 How Does It Work?

• Simple Rules: The rules are pretty simple. Just finish the 5k route before The Shadow.
• Bicycle Lead: Participants will follow a bicycle lead on a route that follows the Fort Wayne Trails network.
• Traffic Laws: The route will be clearly marked, but there won’t be police presence so be sure to follow traffic laws at road crossings!
• Awards: Fun trophies go to the first place male and female finishers and first place boy and girl (under 13) finishers.

• The Shadow Launches: 1:00PM
• Our Launch: 1:05PM
• Awards Begin: 2:00PM

🎭 Dress for the Occasion

• Dress Code: So put on your best ninja suit, cool tuxedo T-shirt, or simply a black T-shirt.
• Fun Attire: Chase the Shadow is the only time that we encourage walkers and runners to dress in black.

⏱️ Race Timing

• Untimed Event: Chase the Shadow is an untimed fun run.
• Race Clock: We will have a race clock on site if you want to see your time.
